I was in Bay Ridge when Ginos ...

I was in Bay Ridge when Ginos was just a pizzeria. It should of stayed that way. I will give you the least dramatic reassons for this place. First of all this is not Manhattan and there prices are way out of line for Bay Ridge.Second there food quality is nothing to die for or there menu selections ARE NOT real Italian.THERE MORE LIKE SOMETHING YOU GET FROM A PIZZERIA WITH PLATES. Third the service here is something thats needs major improvement.AS SOON AS YOU WALK IN YOU TOLD THERE IS A 20 MINUTE WAIT.Also the hostess can be a little more pleasant when she talks to her guests. There is a right and left from the pizzeria entrance and a bar in the middle. The noise level is unbelievable. I was in a busy village Italian restaurant and was not as quite noise. Maybe its the Brooklyn crowd or the pizzeria atmosphere that does this. We were greeted nicely but that was the last of the pleasantry. We all ordered appetizers pasta dishes and main courses and it seemed the waiter was pissed that we did. I guess he didn't want us to stay so long. well we did and pissed him off even more when he brought the check without asking and ordered desert. I have never been treated this way in restaurant and would never go back as several of my friends told me not to even leave a tip. Well one thing we did notice was food going back to the kitchen quite a bit. must of been a bad night for there non Italian chef, which we saw come out and was being balled out in front of the restaurant I guess by the manager or maybe even one of the owners.would i recommended this pizzeria so called restaurant?NO You be better off going to Oliver Garden at least you would get what you paying for. Also one of my friends writes for the times and wouldn't even bother writing a review here as these people just don't know real Italian cooking!

Runs with the best of Brooklyn.

The family has been dining here for years. Anthony & co have one of the most consistent kitchens to be found in Brooklyn. Excellent food and great service. Keep up the good work.

This is one of my favorite places for Italian food. They are so nice and the food is awesome! My girlfriends and I make a night out of it every time. It's so worth it and they are reasonable. The only thing we have a problem with is, the wait. Sometimes you would be waiting 30-45 minutes for a table for 4. But its weel worth it. Especially for their white and choc. mousse cake. YUMMY and their choc martinis.

For excellent Italian food - good service - warm atmosphere this is the place to go. Get there early or prepare to wait, because others know how good it is too. BTW it?s worth the wait.
