Dental Examination

Thatâ€™s why we make it a priority to thoroughly examine your teeth and mouth for plaque buildup, cavities, decay, and disease. Teeth Cleaning
If your gums are in perfect health and have no recession, you can typically get a â€œnormal dental cleaning.” This will entail removing debris, tartar, and plaque above the gum line, and getting your teeth polished. As our body changes and we start to lose bone around our teeth, there are more root surfaces to clean and typically we need a more advanced type of cleaning, often called Periodontal Maintenance.

Dental Sealants
Teeth, especially our molars, have unique ridges and grooves on them that can harbor bacteria and make it harder to clean. Sealants are thin coatings that are applied to the teeth and provide a protective layer over these grooves and ridges. Because children can struggle to reach these areas while brushing, sealants can provide an extra layer of protection against cavities.

Root Canal Treatment

Even after 45 years in dentistry, he eagerly pursues and continues his education in all areas of dentistry but focuses on adult and child orthodontics, TMJ therapy, and sleep apnea oral appliances.

Originally from northern California, Dr. Wong attended UC Irvine where he received his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Management. He then went to UCLA for his dental degree and graduated in 2013. Following his graduation, Dr. Wong continued at the UCLA Venice AEGD, where he completed a one-year advanced education in general dentistry. It was in this residency that Dr. Wong received additional training in implants, cosmetic dentistry, and complex treatment planning.
