Top Notch Cooking School

I just took the first session of the Basic Skills Workshop. I was impressed all the way around. The kitchen is very well appointed, roomy, well lit and attractive. The utensils were excellent...All-Clad everything. Wow! Dan is an excellent instructor. He very obviously enjoys cooking and imparting his expertise. His presentation style is very animated, easy to follow, and has the right amount of humor. It was easy to pay attention and stay tuned in. Having the "helpers" is also an excellent touch. The extra instruction is appreciated, as is the fact that there's always room on the counters given your policy of having the students get things out to the cleaning racks and the helpers cleaning immediately. All together, an excellent experience I recommend for anyone wanting to learn more about cooking...or even only to refresh technique!

Great cooking school for home chefs!

I’ve been going to The Seasoned Chef now for almost two years. The classes are always very informative and organized. The staff, particularly the Director, Susan Stevens, are always very helpful and make you feel welcome. The school also features the most incredible guest chefs that go beyond just teaching you the recipes but emphasize the techniques so all of us can all feel more confident in the kitchen. If you love food and you want to learn more, this is the school for you!

Great Experience

I recently took my first class at The Seasoned Chef cooking school, a light and healthy cooking class with Cheryl Rojic. I have changed many of my personal cooking habits with an emphasis on being healthier, so this was an ideal class for me to attend.

All of the recipes cooked during the class were fantastic. I have since cooked multiple of them or portions of them, at home on my own. I had several questions regarding why and how certain ingredients were used, and what other types of dishes that could be used for. Both Cheryl and Susan (the owner of The Seasoned Chef) provided many other ideas that I would never have thought about.

Probably the biggest benefit for me was seeing how various ingredients could be used. This has led me to come up with additional applications in recipes I routinely cook at home. So in addition to the 5 recipes prepared in the class, I have been able to create new ideas based on what I learned. I would certainly recommend these classes for anyone who wanted new ideas in the kitchen, both from new recipes and new ideas for your old ones.

Learning to cook safely

I have been cooking with Susan and her guest chefs for over 9 years. Being a nurse, I am most impressed by their vigilance to safety, orientation and organization. At each class we are briefed on what we are going to do that session. Following this ther is ALWAYS an orientation to the kitchen and the requiement for safety in the kitchen, primarily when it comes to handling the knives and hot pans. There is a review each class even though most of us have heard it before. You can never be too careful or safety conscious.

The classes are for every level of cook and you can choose according to your specific interests! Basic and Intermediate classes are available but the majority of classes are specific to a unique cooking technique or combination of food. Like to Grill? There is a summer class to cover that. Interested in French, Italian, Mexican. That is covered too!!

Like to eat? Like to cook? Join us!! You will learn a lot, have a lot of fun and eat a great meal!

Excellent Cooking School

The Seasoned Chef is an excellent cooking school. My wife gave me a gift certificate for the basic cooking course two Christmas’s ago. I had so much fun while taking the course that I couldn’t stay away. In the last eighteen months, I have taken about 35 classes and thoroughly enjoyed each one as have a number of fellow repeat students. The chefs have done a great job of explaining each technique and recipe. After a short lecture from the chef, we actually get our hands dirty as we get to prepare each recipe under the chef’s supervision.

The customer service is outstanding. Susan Stevens, the owner and her staff, have been more than willing to help with any special requests. The best part about the school is I don’t have to do the dishes. Pat, Donna, and Vicki do them for us. This school has exceeded all my expectations.
