Chef Klaus' Bier Stube

I have personally known Klaus for well over thirty years -- going back to when I was a German teacher at Rich East High School in Park Forest. Back then, it was the "old place" on Nebraska Street. Still today, the cuisine is first rate, the ambience is the "old country" revisited, and the service is always courteous. I still enjoy dining there with friends and family and find the experience tantilizing to the palate and a refreshing change from popular restaurant chains. For diners with "issues" about mis-cues and "bad days," I suggest that they take them up with Klaus in a respectful manner to let him do what he does best: Satisfy his clientele as he has for so many years! I've never had a bad experience at the Bier Stube from "way-back-when" to the "here-and-now," and I heartily recommend virtually EVERYTHING on the menu. Start with Hackpeter, then Leberknodelsuppe, Roulladen as a main course, and Apfelstrudel. You can't go wrong! Prosit! Here's to Gemtlichkeit!
