Park Lane Hotel & Suites

Not pet friendly as stated. Manager wanted us to cut our vacation short by taking our pets with us or stay in our room. She said they were to loud even though they placed us next to the elevator. Bad idea!!! I asked for a corner room at end of hall.



I left that place asap and went to the Hilton Resort right on the beach.

Once again Park Lane Hotel, Hilton Head Island sucks not Pet friendly.

I recently went (and by the way it is NOT on Daufuskie Is - it is on HHI), and I know they are remodeling, etc, but my stay was horrible. Let's first start with the roaches. ok, ok they kept telling me they were palmetto bugs I DON"T CARE they were disgusting and numerous and seemed to like to crawl up my bed. It was soooooooo nasty I really could not sleep. I was too scared to. I would not let the kids bring their suitcases into the room - I was afraid the bugs would crawl in and I would bring them home. I bought my own bug spray the 2nd day and sprayed every bug i saw. Then there was the 3 am fire alarm that had the whole hotel evacuating. So not only are the kids GROSSED out, now they are FREAKED out. The upstairs bathroom ( we had a 2 floor room) was dirty, and the fire escape door had a big crack all along the bottom which was probably letting in lord knows what. On the positive, the breakfast was good, and the staff fairly friendly, the pool nice but crowded, shuttle to the beach was nice. I complained to the hotel manager about EVERYTHING and she seemed incredulous to the whole situation as if to say "who doesn't enjoy sleeping with roaches?" but she did discount my stay. However, I will NEVER stay there again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
