I want to respond to the review of our practice. This person is NOT a patient of our practice and neither is the person he is referring to. We have no record of the name in our system. How dare he try to tarnish our respectable practice. Our reviews by true patients are credible and complimentary. We strive to provide the best service to our patients. We have NEVER had any legal action or malpractice issues in our 18 years of practice and for good reason. Please do not believe this outrageous and ridiculous review. I believe it's from a former employee who is trying to sabotage our practice. Feel free to see our Facebook page Belka Smile Dental and our website bellasmiledental.com. We look forward to treating new patients.

Thank you

Dr. Doris Ladino

READ THIS - EPIC SAGA OF MULTIPLE BOTCHED PROCEDURES AND UNPROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATION:

After I had a couple of good cleanings, I recommended this dentist to my partner. He broke a tooth and needed a root canal and then a crown. First, the root canal. Though anesthetized while at the doctor's office, my partner was in serious pain for several days afterwards. Dr. Doris Ladino refused to prescribe pain medicine. The pain was awful for a week before his appointment for the crown.

When he arrived to get the crown, Dr. Ladino did an exam and saw that she had not done the root canal properly. She then re-performed the botched procedure. Again, she refused to give him any medicine for the pain. "Oh you'll be fine; you don't need any," she said.

A painful week later, Dra. Ladino fitted him for a crown, however she did not do it properly and the crown was too big. She put it in his mouth anyway. The cement she used did not affix properly. So for several days the oversized crown was wobbling all over the place. My partner placed a phone call to Dra. Ladino, who said "It will be fine, give it some more time for the cement to fix."

A week later, the cement for the wobbling crown never set. My partner was eating a meal and the crown fell off the tooth. He began to choke. Finally, he was able to swallow his food, and with it, the crown.

He made an appointment to get a new crown. The secretary on the phone said "Of course we will NOT charge you. The crown was not put on properly."

He went to his next appointment with Dr. Ladino. The secretary on duty said "We will have to charge you for a new crown." When my partner quoted the other receptionist who said there'd be no charge, the secretary went to speak to Dr. Ladino, who was hiding behind the wall. Dr. Ladino refused to speak to my partner, only speaking to her secretary who was relaying messages. The secretary relayed, "That was a new hire that spoke to you. She was incorrect in what she told you." My partner asked why he would be charged for a new crown when it was improperly sized and improperly affixed onto his tooth. Again the secretary peeked around the corner to speak to Dr. Ladino. When she returned she said "It is because YOU CHOSE to swallow the crown. You could have retrieved it from your mouth and given it back to us. Because you chose to swallow the crown you will have to pay for a new one."

Needless to say, we are looking for other dentists.
