Amoroma

After much planning and anticipation my family decided to celebrate my 50th birthday here: Sunday brunch for 14 people. It was an utter disappointment and not the way I had hoped to remember my special day.



There was only one waiter for the entire restaurant, no bartender and only one person in the kitchen. Typically when a special party of 14 comes in, you would want a dedicated server and more help in the kitchen. And evidently the owner/manager went away for the weekend leaving this poor kid (the waiter) to run the restaurant by himself.



The food came out sporatically so no one was eating together. Toast was burnt and eggs were cooked rock hard. A number of dishes were sent back to the kitchen. We were there for over 2 hours. The waiter felt so bad that he credited some of the dishes off of the bill. Later that week I went to talk to the owner to tell him of our disappointment. He didn't seem all that concerned yet said he would think of "a way to make it right". We never heard from him again. There are now 14 people (half of them Italian) who will never set foot in this restaurant again.
