Met w/Ms.Cherie Meece for a "free consultation" in December 2012. Because I needed immediate legal representation I paid her $506 cash, on the spot ($306 in filing fees & $200 towards her fee;) however, I never signed a contract. Over the course of seven to eight weeks Ms. Meece rarely returned a phone call & only responded to one of seven email's. At that one & only meeting in December 2012 I turned over an extensive amount of original paperwork & when the situation became time sensitive I repeatedly requested she furnish a list of what she had and what I still needed to submit. Ms. Meece finally returned my call on February 26, 2013 I explained the situation & she promised to submit the list that night. She never sent the list & when we spoke on the morning of February 27, 2013 she laughed it off. When I said I no longer wanted her to represent me she initially refused to refund any of my money but relented and issued me a check for $306.
