Marshall S. Dicker, DMD

I feel stupid admitting this: I was a patient of Dr. Dicker for about 10 years and I'd say a quarter of my teeth have had root canals and crowns courtesy of Dr. Dicker. I've also probably spent about $35,000 of my personal money on his practice(not including dental insurance). I guess I trusted him and he has broken that trust.



I am only writing this because I went to a new dentist(my mother-in-law has been seeing him for 10 years) who basically stated: I rarely criticize other dentists but this work is very, very bad. The last dentist I went to for implants(after failed root canals led to Dicker advising me to pull the teeth) also criticized Dicker's techniques especially his method of bonding crowns as being from the 60-70's.



I have to say I have not had one root canal or tooth pulled since I stopped going to Dr. Dicker about 5 years ago.



Here is how I feel Dr. Dicker worked: first he would say you needed a filling, then the filling would "fail", and he would say you needed a root canal. At one point he started using a pen-type device that he would guide over your teeth -- if it beeped, it would mean you needed a filling or root canal. It beeped a lot.



It went on like this for years. I thought I was just the only one in my family that had really bad teeth. It's embarassing that my parent's are almost in their 80's and have more natural teeth than I do. I brush and floss regularly.



Dicker also anchored a bridge on a wisdom tooth -- a practice my dentist said was very ill advised and the reason it caused a lot of problems. I am now getting an implant on the missing tooth.



I feel really stupid not having moved on. I am still suffering from Dr. Dicker's work and reminded of him each and every time I eat something.



I am writing this only because I do not want anyone else going on blind trust and go through what I went through.

I had a good experience for sure.Might seem strange for a dental visit but really they are so concened about your time there so the staff'\s main concern is having a stress free vistt.

The staff is very friendly, courteous and accomodating. The experience was like none other I have had at a dentist office. Well done to all. Thanks for a great experience, Dr. Dicker is the best.

Dr. Dicker is a thorough and patient dentist. The thing I appreciated most is that he takes the time to explain your problems , rather than hastily delve straight into treatment. For me, good medical practice means empowering and educating, and not simply business.

I will continue to comeback because I always know that I will receive great customer service here. Dr. Dicker is very patient and professional. The office is always clean and the rest of the staff is very friendly.

Great dentist. I have been seeing him for many years now and I still continue to recommend him to all my friends and family.

Dr. Dicker has the courage of his convictions to tell you the whole truth. I have had dentists not do the work and it resulted in bigger problems. Those dentists will tell you whatever they think you want to hear because they just want your immediate business. I chose a dentist who is responsible and exceptional. Dr Dicker certainly is that. I trust him implicitly. I highly recommend him.

This guy is totally dedicated to his profession, and knows all the latest things.....if you're the kind of person who wants details of why and how...he can go on forever.

Everyone is always so friendly and ready to answer any questions that you might have. The hygienists are great and provide excellent service. My dentist is Dr. Marshall Dicker, and he is without a doubt the best dentist I have ever gone to. He will take however much time is needed to work with you and go above and beyond to help resolve any special needs that you may have.

Very nice dentist. He answered all my questions on my first visit and left nothing out. He was realistic, instead of making empty promises, and fulfilled my needs as a patient.

I've been coming to this dentist for quite sometime now. I really like the work he does, and how gentle he is. He and his staff do a really great job, and now I don't go anywhere else.

They work as a great team, they're both extremely friendly and genuinely care about the comfort of their patients. They remember names and previous conversations and seem to really enjoy the work they do. I actually look forward to seeing these them which makes going to the dentist actually kind of fun.

Every experience I have had there has been very good. From the receptionist to the dentist, Dr. Dicker. Dr. Dicker is easy to talk to, fast, but not hurried and gentle. If you live in New York or close by this is a great dentist to go to.

I've been to Dr Dicker a couple of times for teeth cleaning, nothing else really but from what I can tell he's a pretty nice guy.
