This is THE place to go for a fancier breakfast experience here in town... too bad everyone else in the world thinks so too.



Weekend mornings at TRC can get a little crazy. You order up at the counter, grab a number and then look desperately around for a table in the completely crowded restaurant. It can get a little nerve wracking, hoping that you will have a place to sit and eat your delicious meal, but generally the turnover is fairly quick and I haven't had a problem eventually finding a place to enjoy my meal.



Honestly, they do a FABULOUS job on their pancakes. Delicious and thick, dripping with butter and syrup, my mouth is watering as we speak. But for something a littl ebit different, I went with the smoked salmon on toast, stacked high with cucumbers and capers, delicious herbed cream cheese, tomatoes and onions. I got the double, thinking that the toast couldn't really be THAT big and I was hungry. Ha. Out came two slices of MONSTER homemade artisan bread, heaped with smoked salmon and all the fixin's. I'm a little embarassed to say I ate most of it, but it was DELICIOUS.



The other thing that I LOVE to just pop in a grab are their scones. Not the overly dense rocks that some places pass off as scones, but crunchy on the outside with a sugary glaze, while the inside is light and fluffy and delicious. Maple Scone? Oh YES PLEASE!!



I say if you're interested in trying this place, check it out on a weekday, or grab a simple pastry to go with one of their delicious lattes. Once you have the hang of it, come back and order something bigger... because it can be a little bit daunting if you don't know what to expect.

Great Petaluma breakfast spot...Can get crowded on a nice weekend morning, but worht the wait...
