I was very pleasantly surprised when I had water pouring out of my engine I stopped at the gas station and lo and behold one of the best garages around 100 feet away from where I was broke down did more work than they had to do and charge me the same amount that we agreed to before they started the job this was the most honest mechanic I have ever seen they did a great job and my car runs great great big thanks to Portage Tire and Automotive

Super Friendly! My car developed a shake when I was in Portage visiting family. My dad told me to take it to Portage Tire. I called to make an appointment and the lady said they were able to get me in the same day! As soon as I got there a mechanic came out and looked at my car with me and explained exactly what was wrong in ENGLISH! Not mechanic mumbo jumbo that no one understands! Turns out one of my tires had a bulge in it and my other tires were in bad shape as well and i was in need of a wheel alignment. They were able to order my tires and install them the next day! When I showed up for my appointment my car was taken into the shop within 5 minutes, and I only had to wait 1.5 hrs. for 4 new tires and a wheel alignment! You won’t get that kind of service at Farm and Fleet; the last time I went there I had to wait 4 hours for 4 tires.

I would totally recommend this place! Portage Tire is the place to go in Portage for fast and friendly service!

Had a bent rim, they keep saying it will be in on certain days, now it's been a week. the part that had to be reordered because it was too big, has been in limbo for the past week, they finally got it and now it's the same one they had ordered before!
