Sinusitis
Problems related to your nose and sinuses, such as nasal congestion, runny nose, facial pressure can be attributed to a deviated septum, enlarged turbinates, nasal polyps, chronic sinusitis, allergic or non-allergic rhinitis, or history of a nasal fracture.

At Alamo ENT, we evaluate and treat a number of issues in the pediatric population, including chronic ear infections, snoring and sleep apnea, enlarged adenoids and tonsils, chronic tonsillitis and sore throats, lymph nodes and neck masses, and hearing loss.
Ear Infections
Ear tubes are a treatment option for children and some adults with chronic or persistent ear infections or persistent fluid in the middle ear space. Tiny cylinders are inserted through the ear drum to allow air into the middle ear to decrease the number of infections.

William W. Gordon, M.D., is a licensed physician from Oklahoma City, OK. He attended college at Texas A&M University, class of 1967. During his college years, he earned the title of Vice President of Freshman Class, and he also earned the Mosby Scholarship Award. From there, he pursued his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX. Dr. Gordon’s internship in internal medicine took place at Methodist Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine.

Ultrasound
Thyroid nodules are very common. In fact, they may be present in up to 2/3 of the population. In most cases, people are unaware that they even have a thyroid nodule. However, over time, some of these thyroid nodules will grow to the point that they become visible and may start putting pressure on nearby structures giving some uncomfortable and unwanted symptoms. The RFA electrode is placed into the thyroid nodule under ultrasound guidance. When the electrode is activated, charged particles within the cells of the thyroid nodule begin to rub together which causes heat production. This heat destroys the cells immediately surrounding the tip of the electrode.
Computed Tomography
This allows us to quickly and painlessly obtain high quality images of the sinuses and ears while at the same time only requiring 1/5 to 1/20 the radiation dose of a standard CT scan.

General Surgery
Thomas W. Nau, M.D., is an licensed physician in the San Antonio area. He attended college at the University of Texas at Austin, and attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. From there, Dr. Nau went on to complete his internship in general surgery and residency in otolaryngology at the same university. He is a proud member of the Bexar County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association, and American Academy of Otolaryngology. Dr. Nau was also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, and received the Texas Super Doctor award in 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007. Dr. Thomas Nau is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American College of Surgeons. He specializes in parathyroid and thyroid surgery, sleep apnea, sinus surgery, and general otolaryngology. Passionate about his practice, Dr. Nau enjoys using medical advances to improve the lives of his patients. He is dedicated to treating each of them with personalized care, as he would his own family. As a doctor and caregiver, he takes his responsibility seriously, and places emphasis on always giving his patients the best medical care possible. Dr. Nau is a devoted Christian and husband, and enjoys spending time with his wife, Susan. When he is not in the office, Dr. Nau enjoys tending to his vegetable garden and flying sailplanes and single-engine airplanes.
Neurosurgery
CT scanner, I visually navigate and operate in the office as I would in the operating room. Image-guided surgery (IGS) is the use of a real-time correlation of the operative field to a preoperative image that reflects the precise location of a selected surgical instrument to the surrounding anatomic structures. Although first developed for neurosurgery, ENTs use the navigation system for sinus surgery to increase safety and accuracy in the operating room. We offer the same quality treatment in our office.
Otolaryngology
Dr. Hatch was born in Nashua, New Hampshire and grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas. He attended Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls where he received his undergraduate degree in chemistry. Dr. Hatch received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He completed his post-doctoral training in General Surgery at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas and in Otolaryngology at the University of Michigan Medical Center at Ann Arbor. Dr. Hatch has been in private practice in San Antonio since 1990.
Reconstructive Surgery
Dr. Guillaume was born in Los Angeles and graduated from the University of Southern California with a BS in Biological Sciences. He received his medical degree from UCLA and Charles Drew University and completed Otolaryngology training at the King-Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Guillaume completed fellowship training in Microvascular and Reconstructive Surgery at the USC School of Medicine. He served as Assistant Professor and Director of Ambulatory Care in the Otolaryngology Department at Charles Drew University for four years before entering private practice.
