VIP Nails

Ironically, the VIP stands for Very Important Person, but I am sure most of the staff working there have no idea what that means, because of their lack of English skills and also because of their lack of customer service skills. The fact that the salon has about 30 chairs and 30 tables tells you they are into mass production of services where they churn out numerous customers fast and furious, quite the opposite of the concept of 'Very Important person.' I took my daughter there for a manicure, and whenever I tried to ask the manicurist a question, she ignored me. Subtle cultural nuances like 'paying attention to the person paying the bill' are lost on this culturally and linguistically inept business. I had to ask three times before our manicurist's would even stop her fast pace 10-minute manicure and look up and address my concern. Not even volume and vocal variety would shake her from her robotic style, as if she was working on a machine and not with another human being. When I brought up a concern that they had the entire manicure done in what seemed like 10 minutes, she pointed to a sign on the wall stating 15 minute manicures. It was clear, they want you to think 15 minutes means no waiting, but what it really means is, they do fast, crappy work. They spent hardly any time trimming cuticles, filing, or massaging. There were no extras like using a warm wash cloth or cuticle oils, just the basics. Most importantly, I am tired of businesses like these that don't seem to make any effort to understand their English speaking customers and use the fact they speak little to no English as an excuse for poor customer service. It is time American's start standing up to them, demanding their technicians learn our language or we aren't going to patronize their businesses. In this business's case the VIP stands for Very Ignorant People or high Volume while Ignoring People.

These people were awesome! I thought their Sunday hours were later than they actually are & they stayed open late to accommodate my sister in law & sister the day before her wedding. They were professorial & the service was impeccable. It was a very clean & comfortable atmosphere. I rarely treat myself to manicures & pedicures, but this was a wonderful experience & I will definitely be back & recommend them to everyone. Thank you so much for your kindness, hospitality, & skill. Excellent business.
