Do not take your pet to this place!!! Horrible boss! The staff is good minus at least one of them who is not. Something happened a couple of days ago I am not sure how long ago because I don't work there anymore but I was told by my ex coworkers what had happened. Dogs got sick starting throwing up and pooping blood really badly. The owner blamed the staff for what was happening but it's not their fault he doesn't provide the things they need. So he went out and bought some stuff to stop them from throwing up, and pooping blood but it made it worse. He forced the ladies to give the dogs medication without notifying the parents of the dogs. He told the girls if they told anyone their job would be on the line. He's a very horrible human being. I am not sure why he owns a dog place if he doesn't care about them. He needs to be shut down asap. He's horrible to the staff... He doesn't answer calls when the customers ask for him. Please help get this place shut down before any other dogs get hurt. Because one ladies dog almost died or did die I am not sure as I don't work there anymore.

WORST EXPERIENCE OF OUR LIVES! They have a web cam in the pet play area so that you can watch your dog playing and give yourselves peace of mind. What we instead watched was one of their vet techs, Tommy, knee our dog repeatedly in the ribs and attempt to kick him in the chest. We have a 110 lb. Lab mix who is very playful but can be a difficult though not aggressive. When we dropped him off I asked that he have one on one playtime with a tech only and was assured that would happen. Instead he was thrown in with a mix of dogs smaller than him and when he began "climbing on" (if you get my drift) the other large dog in the room the vet tech lost his cool and began to abuse our animal. We immediately called and asked that he be removed from the room until we could get there (5 minutes later) to pick up our dog. He was not removed - instead a female tech was sent in and she removed our dog from the room (which was FINE and should have been done before he was abused!!). The owner completely brushed off the incident as if it was no problem and the tech went back to work with other people's dogs. We will never be back and are seeking criminal action against the tech and the kennel as well as making a complaint to animal control.

As if all this wasn't bad enough they do not return your calls to check on your dog. We called three times over the course of three days and left messages and none of our calls were returned - we had to actually go there to check on our dog. They also had a dog with mange or fleas or some kind of skin problem that was obviously ill in the play area and did not disinfect or clean any of the obstacles/floor before putting more dogs in there.

I have boarded my dog at Fur and Feathers over 20 times and this past week was the last time I will EVER leave my dog at Fur and Feathers. When they opened, it was great! I told everyone to take their pets there. I had one small problem with the owner about 2 years ago and he was quick to fix the problem. I dropped my dog off on Thursday and when I returned to pick her up on Tuesday she had over 15 cuts on her body. She also had a huge gash on her neck, blood on her collar and part of ear was cut off. (She was groomed, by a new young groomer, on Saturday.) When I questioned the owner as to what happened, I was told that she wasn't used to wearing her collar and had been scratching. They said to put coconut oil on the gash and that it would heal. I knew better than to believe them. I rushed her to the vet, who immediately said that is not from her scratching. The vet informed me that she had been badly cut and they cut was infected. We spent almost an hour in the vet, between the vet writing a full report and them scrubbing the infected area. My dog is on antibiotics for 14 days. The vet believes it will take about a month for the gash to fully heal. Had I actually listed to the owner, my dog could be much worse off. I will NEVER EVER board at Fur and Feathers again.

I was impressed

I have boarded my cat at my different places through the years and this place is by far the most organized and clean I have seen, yet. The prices are a little higher than most, but you pay for what you get. The cats have their own area and it's two stories high. They come into the room and roam several times a day. My cat has a special diet and they kept up with his eating. The room also has a viewing area with a fish tank. What a spa for a cat!! Loved it!!
