I am Mexican and I could not complain about the food. Tacos and burritos are perfect and accompanied with the perfect ambiance. I and my wife enjoyed it, and will surely be back.

Food was delicious!
I would compare to any upscale resturant in Dallas Ft Worth area! Fun New exciting place for Abilene !!!

While the NEW has worn off, the excitement of an outstanding menu and unique dining atmosphere has not. This is quality dining by Metroplex standards. If that standard means little to you, remember that just over a year ago a hole in the wall on Abilene's north side was acclaimed "Abilene's best". This is dining and quality at a higher standard, thank goodness! Love their appetizers and the fish and shrimp tacos are to die for. Thank you, Miguel's for raising the bar in the "Friendly Frontier".

No integrity and management has no customer service.

I ate at this restaurant on couple of different occasions and the service/ food was adequate. The last time I came I accidentally left my brand new Ray Bans in the bar area. Once I realized they were missing, I quickly called and spoke to the bartender which they stated they had been turned in and I should call to speak with the manager the next day.

I called and Haley comfirmed that they had been turned in and she would look for them. Once she found them she would call me back. I never received a phonecall and after a month, I was in the area so I decided to stop back by. I was very cordial as I entered the restaurant and again explained. She said she had been "looking for them, but they couldn't find them". I suggested they probably had been stolen by one of the staff members since they were turned in. She agreed that is a possibility and said it wasn't the restaurant's responsibility to keep up with my personal items. I asked if there was anything they could do about reimbursing me for my $200 sunglasses and she said "no".

I will never be back again and the integrity of the management is unbelievable to not even offer some type of compromise for a customer who is a corteous tipper and has spent a great deal of money in their restaurant.

We were not too impressed with their food. The drink menu was disappointing, with repetitive frozen agave maragaritas. The brisket tacos tasted like straight bbq sauce. I understand it comes with it drizzled, but I didn't even taste the brisket. The bacon cheddar beans were very bland. I've had better canned refried beans. The red salsa was very oniony, as if onion was their base for it and forgot the tomatoes. Their queso was good, I'll give them that. The wait time was decent and our waitress was very nice. However, other staff seemed careless when an employee made a spill, he never returned to clean it. I several other employees walk right past it, and not even bother to put a sign up. A customer almost fell. The decor was a bit much. All in all, Abuelos will continue to be our top choice when wanting Tex Mex.

Atmosphere was fantastic. The service is beyond terrible! The food was decent and the salsa served with the chips is disgusting! Time will tell! Abilene is funny with new places. Hopefully service gets better because right now it's awful.

Good food, nice staff and great drinks. The only downside was that the staff is new and so the service wasn't quite on par yet but will soon.

Food was great just the two hour wait for it was a little irritating. I will give it another try in about 6 months once the staff figures out what they are doing and how to do their job. Not recommend at this point in time.

While we did have a few problems, I liked this new restaurant. The Queso was excellent. I had tacos and they were wonderful. My aunt said her fajitas were great. However, my daughter ordered chicken strips. They were just ok, but they were served with sweet potato fries with ranch poured over them. They do not have any regular fries to go with the chicken. My cousin did not like the scrambled eggs that she ordered for brunch. The waitress was nice but slow. I think she was just new. Also, the call ahead seating does not help much. We called ahead and still waited 2 hours.

Fantastic authentic Mexican food! The food is definitely different than any other Mexican food in Abilene or with-in 100 miles for that matter. Very complex flavors in every thing on your plate. Also, the Décor was very thought out. The owner told me all of the tile art was hand painted. Top Notch for Abilene!!
