Costco

Upsetting...
For the very first time ...I felt discriminated at costco after so many years of shopping . On April 13, 2015.. I went shopping with a friend , we both have cards but we usually use her's so he gets the points. She went ahead and paid for her groceries. I was behind her so I thought I was next to pay ... to my surprised a guy was in front of me talking to the cashier mike then he paid for his groceries... They did not even ask me if it was okay...
Then I was about to pay ... He asked for my card... my friend was about to take her card out when Mike asked me how I was going to pay for my groceries... "What the hell? Did he think I went shopping without money ? So, I answered" debit card" then he said " no your friend has to decide " then I said , okay I'll use my card, do I handed him my company card.. He took my card and looked at me and said I will need to see some ID... what the heck.., he was really giving me a hard time ... Why? is it because I look Asian with American last name ? Mike is such racist old fart. He needs to be working in the back without any direct contact to the customers.
Well costco just lost me and there will be more...
I will be spreading the words toy network and co workers ... I'm glad SAMs club is opening in apopka .

Costco is THE BEST!! High quality meat and produce, delicious baked goods and such a variety of products. We make "The Trip" to Costco every week or two to stock up. Costco prices are fair and reasonable. You may be able to save a few cents at Wal-Mart but it is like the difference between eating at a hash joint and fine dining. Costco is so well run and it is a pleasure to shop there, we always feel privileged to be there, having lived in the North Georgia mountains for some years where Costco was 100 miles away. Thanks Costco.

I have been shopping at Costco for years. Sometimes I have my own card , sometimes I use my friends card. On April 13, 2015...was my most upsetting and discriminating experience I ever had. I went in with my friend and after she paid her groceries, I was supposed to be next but I did not realize that the cashier Mike let his friend cut through while I was busy putting my goods on the counter. He did not even ask me if that was okay...very rude, right ? then it was my turn to pay .. he asked for the membership card... my friend forgot to leave it out... when she was about to hand it over.... Mike asked How I was going to pay for my groceries...I answered "debit Card" ... then he said "no your friend has to decide" what the hell !! (why did it matter how I pay, and why my friend had to decide, ) . then i said.. okay let's just use my card ( I handed my company card with my name on it) he looked at my card and looked at me and said.. "i'm gonna need to see some ID"



that was another hell !



In my mind, is it because I look asian with american last name... He's such a racist old fart...



I could not stop thinking about it...i have to let it out now....



My next step would be to cancel my company membership and spread the word to my network of friends and co - workers. I will switch to Sam's Club.. I'm glad they are building one close to my neighborhood...and it's almost done.

I purchased a very expensive camera from the store and then the same day turn around and took it back because my husband was upset that I made the purchase without consulting him. I never opened the box nor did I even take the box out of the car. I brought the camera back to the return area at Costco where an older woman I believe her name was Julia took the box used her pen to break the tape seal where lo and behold a different device that I never purchased was in the box! now this old lady Julia claims that she never opened the box..I asked the manager Bob to look over the video surveillance, because the box was sealed when I bought it and when I brought it in to return. We will see if Manager Bob even looks at the surveillance video. I've had a couple bad run ins with this Costco & this is it. I will never shop at this Costco store again and if I have one more bad experience with any Costco I will cancel my membership and blast their names all over any social media I possibly can to let people know to not shop at their store or to beware of what may happen to them as what has happened to me.

When you cannot talk to someone when you call a store because they won't answer, that is indicative of extremely poor service, and you shouldn't expect much if you go to the satore in person!! Guess my rating is thanks for nothing.
