This morning I discovered a bead leak on one of my winter tires, needing it quick I needed some where close. That leaves me with Matthews Tire or Tires Plus.
Always trying to stay true to local or intrastate companies I went to Matthews... And never again!

I pick it up to find the tech over tightened my wheel on the wheel balancer causing deep scratches.
When showing the manager of course I was confronted with denial.
I've only two lug mounted the rim once to move the car since being powder coated.

"Nope, there's no way we did that. "

"Did we take the wheel off?"

"Oh well that's from the lugs then"

"Oh look over here, where its bubbling up, must be the finish."

"Has this (the finish) even had time to dry?"

This is a winter rim, I didn't do a perfect prep before it was coated so there are imperfections.
Last time I checked powder coating was BAKED on not to mention POWDER, there for never going on wet.
After walking out due to my extreme rise in anger, I stepped back inside to demand a refund.

"Why would I do that?!"

After snatched my invoice and doing some computer stuff, I was handed my new invoice with a "There's just no way we did that."

I agree with awful...I bought new tires, and it took forever to get them on...plus they tried to sell me everything under the sun..and to top it off they broke part of the rim off and never said a word, But my car made a rattling sound after I left there that it was not making b4 I got there! I soon found the problem with my rim,,,no I did not go back,,,I didn't trust their honesty enough!!!

Awful

These kinds are unprofessional and have no idea what they are doing. They are overpriced and just keep you on the hook for more. Don't bring a classic vehicle there with a carburetor, because they don't even know how to fix a choke pull on a carb. What a disappointment.

Very professional

Mathews tire did a great job on my wife's car and when I asked them about the condition of the tires on my car, they said they looked good and would probably be fine for quite some time. Their honesty was refreshing.

Very professional

My wife got new tires on her SUV from Matthews and we were satisfied with both the tires and the service. However, what most impressed me was when I went in a few weeks later. I stopped by with my car just to see if I needed new tires (it was about the time that we typically get our first snowfall, and I wanted to be ready). They said they would just take a quick look at it, no appointment necessary. When someone looked at it, they said that my tires looked really good and that I wouldn't need any this year. For a tire place to be honest like that and tell the truth rather than trying to make a buck is very impressive in these times. I'd recommend them to anyone with an auto issue.
