General Info: Gigi (Owner & Artistic Director) Gigi started his career in Yugoslavia in 1977. He has extensive experience in many Western European countries. He has won many competitions in Yugoslavia, Bosnia, and Herzegovina in the late 1980¿s and early 1990¿s. He competed against 800 other stylists from all over the world and ranked in the top 10. In 1993, he moved to the United States and obtained a position at Jeffrey Stein Salon in Manhattan where he progressively became one of the owners. He opened Gigi Salon and Spa, an Aveda Concept salon, in January 2006. Gigi has dedicated the last year and a half to building his stylist team and teaching new talent at his new salon in Astoria.
