I was born and raised in a small town in Michigan called Higgins Lake. It is a beautiful spring-fed lake about twenty-six miles in circumference. Warm summers on the lake, snowmobiling in the winter and no bumper to bumper traffic made growing up there wonderful. After graduating from Roscommon High School in 1991, I attended the University of Michigan where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. While many of you may not be fond of Wolverine fans here in the Pacific Northwest I can assure you I'm actually a pretty nice guy. After Michigan, I moved out to New York City where I graduated from Columbia University School of Dental & Oral Surgery in 2000. I ended up dating and eventually marrying, one of my classmates. My wife, Dr. Judy Chen, was admitted to the University of Washington's Orthodontics program which, obviously, brought us out to this great land of Washington. She is currently practicing in Redmond, WA.
