Mobley Eye Care Austell

My daughter got a eye Exam & fitted for new glasses. Love the staff they were very nice & professional. We were in & out in no time.

Purchased glasses at Mobley Eye Care and was astounded at how much they charge for services and product!! $225 for a glasses eye exam, and $399 progressive lenses. My total price for glasses was $1377 ($555 insurance paid) . I did not have bad service , but cant believe how much they over charge! Its companies like this that cause our insurance premiums to increase. I will never go back!! Such a rip off!

I want to start by saying that the nurse and actual doctor were wonderful. However, the way that I was treated by the office manager and another person in the office was horrible. First, I called several times and left messages just to get an appointm,ent. I never received a return call. Then I was told that the Free diabetic exam (paid by insurance) was not valid even though I received a letter listing them as a provider. She stated that she had just called and would not call the insurance company again to verify. I was also instructed to pay my medical and eye co-pays. after my exam I needed to order contacts. The girl that was helping me had a question of the bolnde girl that seemed to be in charge, the same one that wouldn't call my insurance.. She snapped at her and huffed and puffed. This was akward for myself, the girl helping me, and the other customers. I told her I would come back when things were calmer. My insurance company told me that they did make a mistake and owed me money. I found out later that I could have just paid for the exam out of pocket at another office and it would have been cheaper. After again leaving several messages with out a return call, I was able to speak with someone who told me I would get a check in the mail. When I got the check only the first three letters of my name were listed. I called again and the office manager was rude from the start of the conversation. I tried to tell her of the problem I had and she said,"well it seems like no one in this office can make you happy". I tried to see if I could void the check and told her that I knew Dr. Mobley's son ( for no other reason than to see if he could verify that I could be trusted to tear up the check). She told me that "even though I knew him ,he would not come to my house and pick it up". I was very frusterated and my tone reflected that bit I did not scream or insult her. She hung up on me! I was told I could bring the check to the office. After telling her that this was her mistake and I was not going to be put out. I was told that it was not her mistake, she was trying to fix it. I asked her on more than one occassion to speak with Dr. Mobley and she said,"that is what he pays me for". I told her that I felt she was being rude to me and I wanted to talk to him or leave a message. She said, "well he won't call you back, I am the office manager". I said,"he doesn't speak to his clients". She said, no. I told like writing negative reviews, in fact, I never have until this one. I would have liked to speak with the business owner but according to the office manager he doesn't speak to clients. I will say that the nurse that worked with me was vey nice.
