Kendall received her juris doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Following graduation, Kendall served as a law clerk to the Honorable Justice John Few at the South Carolina Supreme Court. During her clerkship, she gained experience in legal issues related to bankruptcy, statutory interpretation, civil procedure, evidence and criminal law. She was also responsible for reviewing briefs and records on appeal and discussing cases set for oral argument. Kendall uses that firsthand experience and knowledge in drafting briefs and preparing for arguments for clients.

Stuart defends trucking companies in catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases. He often coordinates the emergency response to trucking and industrial accident scenes, the investigations that follow and the subsequent litigation and trial of those matters. Civil Discovery of Wearable Technology Data in Personal Injury Cases On September 13, 2018, in Santa Clara County, California, a 67-year-old woman was discovered dead in her home, slouched in a dining room chair with lacerations on her head and neck, clutching a large knife. Two weeks later, her stepfather was arrested for her murder based in part on evidence obtained from a silent observer—her Fitbit. The fitness tracker she was wearing at the time recorded a spike in her heart rate followed by a slow decline in her heart rate until it completely stopped, all during a time when her stepfather—the last person to see her alive—admitted he was at her home.

Gray’s law practice includes defending product manufacturers in product liability suits brought both individually and as class actions for economic loss, personal injury and property damage. He has represented a number of different industries including automotive products, building products, heavy machinery, industrial equipment, pharmaceuticals and water treatment chemicals. Gray has handled numerous cases involving explosions and fire losses. In addition to his products practice, Gray continues to defend organizations alleged to have hired persons who have sexually abused children. His experience in this area dates back to his career as an Army JAGC officer, where he defended soldiers accused of those crimes.

Personal Injury
David brings a wealth of trial experience in complex toxic tort, products liability, trucking and personal injury litigation. He has participated as lead counsel in over 150 jury trials in local, state and federal court, including three of the most significant trucking/transportation cases tried in South Carolina in 2018 and 2019, obtaining very favorable results for his clients in each. He also defended an international furniture manufacturer in nine firefighter death and ten firefighter injury lawsuits arising from the Charleston Sofa Super Store fire in June 2007, one of the most publicized cases in the history of South Carolina litigation. All nineteen cases were settled for less than $50,000.

Natalie graduated from Washington and Lee University School of Law in May 2018. At Washington and Lee, Natalie served as a student attorney in the Community Legal Practice Center. Bryant on the North Carolina Court of Appeals and in the Civil Labor Division of the North Carolina Department of Justice.

In addition to his construction practice, Duffie maintains a significant practice in the creditors’ rights field. In this area, he represents regional and national banks, governmental entities, non-traditional lending institutions and other commercial lenders in a wide variety of matters including workouts, bankruptcy, commercial foreclosures, UCC claims, liquidations, contract and collections work. Duffie also provides general legal advice and guidance to credit officers, special assets officers and banking executives.

At Washington and Lee, Natalie also served as an admissions ambassador, chair of the Tax Law Society, co-chair of The Lewis F. Powell Jr. Distinguished Lecture Series, and a mentor in the Women’s Law Student Organization. Natalie believes in giving back to her local community and is involved with the Junior League of Greenville, the United Way of Greenville County, and the Goodwill Good Guides mentor program.
