Kabob Grill

My husband and I were thrilled to find out that Kabob Grill was opening in Ballantyne. We frequently drove to the Kabob Grill in Dilworth, so we were elated to find this restaurant, run by members of the same family, opening just minutes from our house. I can't begin to describe how delicious the food is at this restaurant. I almost always order the Vegetarian Combo because I can get so many of my favorite dishes in one combination platter: Hommos, Baba Ghannouj, Tabbouleh, Falafel, Yalanji (grape leaves stuffed with rice, garlic, tomato, spices, oil and lemon juice), Spinach Pie (a little stuffed spinach triangular pastry that either is or is similar to Spanakopita) and, finally, my very favorite, Potato Harra, these heavenly little cubes of lightly fried potatoes that are drizzled in a light, but flavorful, lemon vinaigrette filled with spices and cilantro. The plate is garnished with a variety of pickled vegetables. The Kebobs are excellent, the Kafta Kabob being both my and my husband's favorite. For something a little different, try the Mihammara, a walnut, bread crumb, cumin, chili and olive oil dip. There is plenty of pita bread in warm little packets to go around and you can ask for more! The Omar's Salad and the Fattoush Salad are great and there are plenty of wonderful wraps to choose from if that's your thing. Finish the meal off with the Baklava, which looks a little different than I have seen anywhere else...it's rolled into a tight little flaky cylinder and is dripping with a honey-laced syrup...wonderful! I really can't say enough positive things about Kebob Grill, but I've raved about it to everyone I know!
