My practice is different from other primary care practices because it revolves entirely around your health, your goals, your needs. I feel it is important to know my patients well, spent time listening to them and work out solutions to medical problems in partnership with patients. Despite all the complex technology and testing available to help with diagnosis and treatment I feel that the foundation of care is based in a history obtained from the patient and information from examining the patient. Nothing replaces seeing a patient face to face. It is important for patients to understand their conditions and have their questions answered. It is also important for me to communicate to patients the results of diagnostic testing. Using a combination of history taking, physical exam, diagnostic workups and communication in partnership with the patients I strive to meet their medical needs. Having faced my own struggles with weight issues in the past, I appreciate the importance of a healthy lifestyle. I do regular cardiovascular exercise, weight training and yoga. I also try to eat a healthy diet rich in fruits and vegetables and maintain a healthy weight. I am very enthusiastic about explaining to patients how to live a healthy lifestyle. I am also very understanding with patients who struggle with their personal weight issues and will try to work with them in improving their lives.
