Raffaello Hotel

If you are looking for the WRONG thing you will be disappointed. However, my mother and I were delighted. We spent a week-end to attend the opera and visit Chicago. Months earlier we had stayed at a large glossy hotel closer to the opera but were "trapped" far away from other activities for the rest of the stay. I walked around downtown Chicago and found the Rafaello. 1/2 a block to shopping a quick cab ride to the opera, museum, etc. The building is a charming vintage with a helpful staff and doorman. The room was spacious and we had a view onto the quiet street and could see Michigan avenue from our windows. The snow flurries didn't hurt. We were delighted with the location, the quiet, the ready access to attractions and the price. I would definitely stay again.
