Tachi Sushi Bar

I don't ever write reviews but felt inclined to after seeing a 2 star average which is way too low. I've been eating at this restaurant for 10 years and the service and food quality has only gone up. It has been my go to spot for a while now, and I have tried almost all the nearby sushi restaurants. Serving size is the only thing I would rate average, definitely not small but not as large as a few other places I've been. If serving size is your primary concern, I would recommend Tatsu sushi, otherwise Tachi sushi is the best around.

for a first time customer, i could understand how it would be confusing and frustrating, but the list is something they started since they moved to the new building because of how busy they usually are.



i have been going here for years and i absolutely love it. ill admit the portions decreased a bit after the move, but i have never had anything there that i wasnt pleased with. everything on the menu is delightful, salmon, beef or chicken teriyaki, tempura, miso soup, salad, gyoza, and all the sushi i have tried has been wonderful. sure the service may not be what would be expected of a four-star restaurant, but come on, it really isnt bad at all. i have had way worse service at other establishments.

I went to this sushi bar for the first time, you walk in the front door and are not greeted (i wasnt) there is a list on a table you are supposed to add your name to (i didnt know that because nothing told me to) the server then comes to seat someone and is frustrated no one left a name on the list (like we all were supposed to just know), we are then seated and 10 minutes or so after recieveing menus the server comes over and says "what do you want?" (are you kidding me?) so we order anyways, my friend asks if the salmon is cooked unfamiliar with this culture of food and he laughs and says "ya it is, its not sushi!" He felt stupid..

the food was alright, small portions for the price, there are many other restaurants in the area with much better service and larger portions. I do not recommend anyone waste their time and or money at this establishment!
