Overall
Location was University Drive ...

Location was University Drive near Atlantic BLVD...

My boyfriend, who is from TEXAS and eats TEX MEX all the time stopped at this place around 6pm on Sat April 7th. There was no crowd so we didn't look for a better place since it was a holiday weekend. It was our first time there.

I noticed immediately that it seemed to be a kitchy-Mexican-Hooters.

We were seated at a both that was uncomfortable and small, near the bar and the kitchen door. Guess cause we weren't regulars.

He ordered a typical combination plate. It came slimy with melted cheese. Nothing really recognizable.

I didn't want to eat trash food (cheese, carbs, oil and fat) so I ordered something that was supposed to be a skirt steak marinated Mandarin style. It was supposed to be grilled with onions, peppers and tomatoes and ON A BED OF BEAN SPROUTS.

I was suprised to find bean sprouts on the menu (not a fan especially) but thought, well, at least it's not fries or greasy rice or something like that.

The waitress (who looked like the oldest girl there, pushing 26 maybe) was determined to learn exactly how I wanted it cooked. I kept saying "medium" and she kept asking..." ...a little pink?" She described how the meat was going to be cooked and was horrified that I told her I didn't want to order a drink and asked that she NOT

bring me water. I told her SEVERAL TIMES that I wanted the temperature of my food to be SUPER HOT.

She brought my boyfriends greasey-cheesey mess and laid my plate in front of me.

I saw a huge ( 10 12 oz?) ball of something I could not recognize on the side of the plate and the meat, so dark brown it looked like dark chocolate and laying in a puddle of brown sauce.

I said, "what is that? That isn't what I ordered. She said, 'Oh that's cheesey mashed potatoes with corn". I said, 'that wasn't even on the menu! Where are the bean sprouts and why would you bring me potatoes when I didn't even order them?; She told us they don't have bean sprouts and that the menu is changing.

I thought, ok, but what's that got to do with me? Why not tell me when I ordered that it would not come as listed on the menu? Why not ASK me if I want DISGUSTING MASHED POTATOES WITH CHEESE AND LEFT OVER CORN so I can say, NO I don't want that?

I asked her to tell kitchen to remove the potatoes. I gave up asking where the tomatoes and peppers had gone since they were not on the plate.

The MANAGER brought the plate back without the greasy junk. Now I was presented again chunks of OVERCOOKED steak laying in a DARK BROWN PUDDLE of liquid. I cut into one piece, took a bit...ICE COLD.

I told him to take it away. He took the item off our bill.

LOUSY FOOD, LOUSY SERVICE, LOUSY KITCHEN.

Save us all the heartache and just close down since you don't know how to prepare food, follow a menu or serve a customer.

WHERE IS GORDON RAMSEY WHEN YOU NEED HIM?

PS...I emailed them for a solid week with my complaint. NO RESPONSE!
