Davidson Garage

I went to this garage for a short while when I first moved into the neighborhood. I could drop off my car and walk home. It was close and that is what I liked most. They are supposed to be good Christians and a follower of God. A big plus in my book. I took a car there that I just purchased and told them to go all over it and give me a list of what was wrong with it and if I got screwed. It took a couple of weeks for them to get this done as they worked on it when they could. No big deal. I had my other car. Got the call they were done and walked down to see what the damage would be. The bill was only around $100.00 for the full inspection but they gave me a long laundry list of stuff that was wrong with it like $2,500 worth! I didn't drive it for a while as I was afraid to. So, I took the car back to the mechanic I had used more then 20 years ago that has been working on cars since the 70's about 35 miles from here. The only mechanic I ever took any of my cars too. He had it a few weeks. Called me up. I had someone drive me up there. Paid him $25.00 for the inspection and he said nothing was wrong with the car. I showed him the invoice Davidson gave me and he said it looked like they were only trying to make a few bucks off of me. So, I have to wonder how much of a good Christians they really are. Are they only in it for the money? I didn't think they would be this way. But this has been about 3 years ago, and I haven't been back since. And the car has ran fine so far, knock on wood. Knock, knock. So, I guess if you are in a pinch, they do good work. But if you have time get a couple of estimates. I have talked to a few people that have had the same complaint about Davidson. So, take this review for what it's worth.

Davidson Garage replaced the rack and pinion assembly on my 1999 Oldmobile Intrigue. While at it they repaired a long-time exhaust leak and changed my oil (which was way over due). They did an amazing job and when I picked up my car it was even cleaner than when I dropped it off!

I'll be back for sure.
