Founded in 1858, Congregation Adath Jeshurun is a synagogue serving the Jewish community and is based in Elkins Park, Pa. The synagogue offers Shabbat services and provides celebration services for all Jewish holidays. The synagogue s worship services are fully egalitarian and also offer a Havurah-style service on Shabbat and holiday mornings. The synagogue has schools for children including preschool and kindergarten and provides adult and family education programs. The school emphasizes on the development of Jewish awareness through the teaching of brachot (blessings), customs, values, music, Shabbat and holiday celebrations. The synagogue offers Torah study, youth group programs and has an infant care center as well. Adath Jeshurun is a member of the United Synagogues of Conservative Judaism.
