St Lucie Battery & Tire

As with the other 1 star ratings, my experience was eerily similar. I went there because they are close to my job and I wouldn't have to waste a Saturday or take a day off to get repair work done. They said I needed 1 part replaced, paid over $300, car made the same noise after getting fixed. I brought it back and the mechanic said he couldn't hear anything. Drove home, same knocking sound. Took it back again and was told that it needed an entirely different part replaced, urgently, for another $275! I should have stayed away after the shoddy tires they sold me a year earlier. I now take a day off from work if I need something repaired.

Gouged my wife on unneeded A/C line (300% markup- more than average). When A/C failed next day, wife took it back- only to be told they didn't have time to look at it. I stepped in, they looked at it- diagnosed blockage. More unneeded parts later.....still no A/C. Quoted me $1000 to redo whole A/C system- Does this sound like mechanics or part replacers? Always too busy to call you back! Took to 2nd mechanic- issue was a $50 part, failure is common to my make/ model. They were so wrong, off the mark, incapable, unskilled, unprofessional, and righteous- all the stereotypes of a bad shop. My wife should have been able to go there, get her AC fixed, pay a fair price (we were prepared for a 500-700 bill), and move on telling everyone how well she was treated. This was not the case, nor do I think was ever the goal of this shop. When "Honest & Reliable" is your slogan and on your street sign..... make them more than cheap words.

I admit I am a little shocked at some of the reviews... Its like we aren't going to the same place. I have a modified Corvette that needs special handling for tire changes. This shop has installed very oversized low profile run flat tires that present very difficult installation problems. Never had any problems with this shop. My car is too low to drive onto most lifts. Again, no problem with this store. The company is owned and staffed by local folks that are our neighbors and I have never had a reason to question their ethics, Until I have a problem, they will get my business.. A little later hours on Saturday would be helpful. But they have always been careful with my car, competent to maintain it, and respectful of my business. That is more important to me than anything else.

Poor service at best, Bayshore location lost my wife's wheel lock after a tire rotation, 2 weeks ago Orange Av location never put the valve stem caps back on after oil change & tire rotation ����.

Your better off at a 10 Minute Lube, cheaper, faster and less hassle!!

I was pulling a box trailer north and found one of the trailer tires damaged. I pulled off the parkway and found this outfit on mobile Google. I went for two new trailer tires, then the wife decides she wants 4 new michelins on her immaculate grand Cherokee that we had just detailed. Two hours and $1300 later they roll the car out with all 4 of the $500 each rims scratched to pieces. It took another 24 hours, an overnight area stay and 3 more meals to resolve an issue that never should have happened. If you value your time or your vehicle, pick another shop. Do not give them any more business than you have to or you may regret it. I wouldn't use them for anything more valuable than a wheelbarrow

I have been going to the orange ave. store since I was 16 yrs old,back when you could still buy fresh eggs from Mrs miller next door. The eggs were always fresh and the tire store has always been great on all of my needs for me and all 5 of my kids . Keep up the good work Joey,Doug,Kenny,Jeff,Mark and the whole gang !

Bayshore location. Back in July 2014 I took my son's 2006 Kia Spectra5 for an front end alignment, because it pulled to the right. I was told it didn't need an alignment it needed new motor mounts for the tune of $800.The tech stated it had torque steer. I held off on that procedure because my son was leaving for college. This Dec when my son returned home ,I took the vehicle on I95 drove it a 75 MPH put it in neutral and it pulled to the right. In conclusion new motor mounts would not have made a difference. Common sense tells me it is not torque steer,

They are always kind and very helpful, they do good work and from my personal experience have always stood by their work. When I've had an issue that continues with my vehicles they are very willing and quick to check and fix the issue.

Always have my car serviced or repaired here. They have always been trustworthy and seem to be the only buisness who can align any of my vehicles correctly. Prices are a little high but work is clean.

If you broke down in front of this place, call a tow truck and get out of there asap. They do not stand behind their work. I went in for an alignment. When finished car pulled twice as bad as when I took it in. They said I needed to buy tires. Its a scam I should have listened to my friends but didn't because they used to be so reputable. Oh well, live and learn.

Wife called St Lucie Tire on 2/28/11 for 4 tires quote for our 2000 Honda Civic EX. Price of $292.73 was given with EVERYTHING included. Went there next day at 10:30AM to have tires installed. Person at desk came out to look at car to see exactly what tires were needed. Went back inside to desk and man said "I can save you some money because the tires for this car are cheaper than I thought they were". Man made up sales paper WITH $272.78 as final EVERYTHING price and NOT $292.78. We ok'ed the work and left to get coffee. Came back about noon. Mgr. was now at desk. He said "292.78". I told him "NO!, your man said $272.78?". Mgr got arrogant and said "Well "I'M" the mgr. and he isn't and "I" say it's $292.78". He then CHANGED THE PRICE ON THE SALES PAPER RIGHT IN FRONT OF US!! We ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THIS ATTITUDE AND BAIT AND SWITCH TACTIC!"
