Chiropractic Adjustments
Our office policy/mission statement is a simple one: If we can help you we will tell you. If we cannot help you, we will tell you that as well and make the appropriate referral. After we form the diagnosis and agree to accept you as a new patient, we will fully explain your condition in a "Report of Findings" (ROF). The ROF is typically done on the second visit, which gives us time to thoroughly analyze your examination and x-rays. Once we are satisfied we can effectively and safely treat you, your condition is explained in a way you understand, and you agree to treatment; you will be given your first chiropractic adjustment, a safe gentle manipulation of the spine. If you present with a non-spinal related condition, other treatment provided at this office will be discussed (ex. Nutrition, fibromyalgia treatment, extremity treatment, etc.) If it is not a condition we normally treat or if a second opinion or further testing is necessary, we will make a referral to the appropriate health care specialist.
Spinal Adjustments
Again, Chiropractic care is one of the safest forms of health care available for the treatment of spinal conditions, including the neck. According to the most recent studies, you have less than a 1 per 5 million (one study even says 1 per 8 million) chance of experiencing a stroke due to an adjustment to the neck. Paralysis is even more rare. Serious risks of spinal adjustments are so rare that researchers have a difficult time even predicting the odds. An aspirin is more dangerous. Despite the low risk, we perform tests to even further minimize the risks to you before we ever perform that first adjustment.

Manipulation Therapy
Spinal manipulation is probably as old as humanity itself. The ancient Egyptians and early physicians including Hippocrates, the “Father of Medicine” are known to have used it. Manipulation was taken to a new level with the founding of the Chiropractic profession in 1895 by refining techniques to provide much greater control and specificity. Today there are a range of scientific studies attesting to its effectiveness for a variety of conditions published in major medical journals. Studies indicate it is thousands of times safer than anti-inflammatory medications, such as ibuprofen.
Spinal Decompression
Lumbar (and cervical) Decompression Therapy (LDT) is one of the fastest growing and effective therapies available today for the non-surgical treatment of herniated/bulging discs, arthritis, and non-responsive mechanical low back pain.
Chiropractic Injury Treatment
We understand that the cost of health care is on the rise. It is our goal to make Chiropractic care affordable to everyone. If you have been injured at work or as result of a motor vehicle accident those costs are usually covered 100% by an insurance carrier. We are on the panels of most large insurance carriers. If you do not have insurance, we offer other options for payment as well. Our mission is to take the mystery out of insurance/work comp/personal injury, and make it as easy as possible on you financially to be able to afford care. Our staff is on your side!
Acupuncture
Proper treatment begins with a careful examination, and may include imaging studies such as xray or MRI. Treatment can include a variety of modalities, including braces, physiotherapy such as electrical stimulation or low level laser, manipulation, stretching, ice or heat packs, nutritional supports and other approaches. As symptoms improve, your doctor may progress you through a rehabilitation program. Other forms of treatment can include massage, acupuncture, medication.
Disc Herniation Treatment
Discs separate the bones (vertebrae) of the spine and provide a cushioning effect. The disc is comprised of a soft inner center (the nucleus pulposus), surrounded by a tough outer shell of fibrous tissue (the annulus), much like a jelly donut. Many factors can contribute to a sudden or gradual breakdown of the disc, resulting in bulging or even herniation of the disc. Disc herniation can produce both localized and referred pain, and can affect the nerves of the arms or legs. Symptoms can include numbness in the extremity and even weakness if the disc is irritating the nerve.
