Great bar! Food and drinks are great

Walker Roadhouse is one of my favorite restraurants in West Michigan! The food is spectacular and the atmosphere is great! By far the best restraurant on the west side.

The only positive thing I can say is the food I had was decent. I went here with my family three weeks ago to eat and it was alright for a change. They have three different sections to choose to eat in and also have a full bar. Now I don't have a problem with the restaurant itself, but what always gets to me is when an employee isn't the most courteous which always ruins the experience. Closer to when we were about to leave, but not at the moment, the waitress was going to fill my glass with water and filled it a little less than half way. Then she told me she'd have to get more because she ran out. I thought to myself, "Sure, that happens. I can wait.". I waited for her to come back to continue filling my glass with water all the way and instead she comes back with nothing not even mentioning one word about it to me like it wasn't that big of a deal. I'm also pretty sure she didn't forget because she looked down at my glass the second time she came back and just ignored it. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and tried to get her attention to ask about it. Instead she walks away ignoring me. What would have made my experience better is if she could have at least asked me if I still wanted more water or tell me I'd have to wait a while if that was the case. Although I can't really imagine ever running out of water. I could understand running out of soda or alcoholic beverages and that would be more understandable to me. Not only did this upset me, but I also sent a complaint to them by e-mail about what happened. Took three days before I got a reply from the general manager saying she was sorry for what happened and if I gave her information to find out who waited on me she'd love to address the waitress about it. I thought to myself great, now we're getting somewhere. Gave her the information she wanted to be able to find out what waitress waited on me and it's been going on two weeks and no replies giving me an update. This leads me to believe she really doesn't care about my complaint, and maybe everybody else complaints for that matter and that their employees can get away with anything they want. I won't be visiting a restaurant who doesn't take customer complaints seriously.

I have ordered take out from this place a few times. The food is okay, not poor nor spectacular. My major annoyance is that you are not allowed to substitute soup for their homemade chips or fries. I don't think they are taking a loss by simply offering this option. I hope the management reconsiders this in the future. Until then, they have lost my business.
