Harmony Inn the Village

During my time of employment, I have seem many employees were punished without warning and even fired on spot for bringing little concerns to their attention. I too, were on of these people but mine I feel was worse than the others. I was decieved to believe that I still had a job but their was just no hours to give. The lied to me but them runed my chancing of unemployment for the fact they did not tell me that they wrote I quit in my file when I stated I need a medical level. A caring employer would have grabbed out the necessary paper to follow through with what the employee askes. I was not knowledgeable about any paper work that needed to be filed. Hey, I never did this before, had a panic attack during asking for assistance, was reassured that my job would still be there when I returned from getting medical treatment. I thought it was just as easy as asking for help. I guess no one has to help the young to find out new things, we must watch them fall. Disgusting! Many jobs are changing because of people like me and so many others that want work counciling and assistance when times get tough in life. We SUPPORT THEM to make their money. Where are the individuals within this company for their employees?



I constant view in the now and the past when that people are afraid of their job, unknowing if they will not be cut today or tomorrow. People still talk about finding another job even while working there but because of economy they stay till something else comes along.

No one should have fears that can not come to the owner or other bosses. Some people like I made the mistake to think I could talk respectfully to my employer. I and other employees who I will not name felt the wrath of punishment and cold shoulders to our concern. Employees do in fact have a right to express their issues especially when the owner and his wife are acting unprofessionally out of line.

Empathy goes both ways I know owning your own business does have it's stressers. For god's sake who hasn't seen at least on showing of Kitchen Nightmares. Just like Kitchen Nightmare employees will be become anger and leave. Nobody should have to feel this way new business or not but in my eyes no one should have to go through it without some explaination or apology. Now it is a bad mark on our job histories due to us not being knowledgeable for what type of people we were working for.

I will never again trust my employer fully, even slightly again due to my experience with Harmony Inn the Village. Business are out to make money and make they selves better off then others. Businesses push buy, buy, buy upon us consumers to were we think we are saving money with credit card apps. were are measly 10% off will disappear after you have monthes and years of interest. The attitude I percieved from them was that employees come and go but we will always be trying to get bigger and better even if it ment changing to employees.

Today Harmony replaced normal american born people with mexicans that don't really speak english. What is it that Harmony can't handle people speaking up for them selves so they must hire non speaking legal aliens. What is the difference with bigger know companies shipping jobs internationally. Do you really want to support this restaurant?
