The Steakout

Two weeks before I took a nite off from my 2nd shift job to celebrate MY birthday, hubby called to make reservs, asking for a romantic table near the chef because of my big day. Instead, we were seated across from each other at a table along the outside wall as far from the grill as we could have been. Then an obnoxiously loud party of sixteen was seated between us and the chef. We could not talk to each other or hold hands (we still like to after 20 yrs!). The $27.00 house-special filets came and mine was completely undercooked (cold in the middle; not medium-rare as I ordered). I sent it back. When it came back, it was the same steak, burnt on the outside and still undercooked on the inside. The topper was when a piece of birthday cake was set before MY HUSBAND!!! Only the waitress apologized (no manager ever spoke to us) and charged full $$. We wont be quick to celebrate ANYTHING there again, anytime soon. Abysmal. Beth Miller, Greendale, WI
