Pediatric Care
Eastern Pediatrics provides up-to-date care for newborn through adolescence with state-of-the-art services for illness, minor injuries, and preventative and well care services. Our facility provides separate sick and well waiting rooms to help keep our well children healthy. Our providers work hand in hand with parents to achieve the best possible health and development for their children.
Ear Infections
Smoking: You should not allow your baby around people smoking, especially in the house or car. Babies in homes where smoking is allowed have an increased chance of crib death, as well as an increased number of colds, ear infections, and wheezing.
Emergency Care
Our after-hour phone line is for urgent care advice and recommendations. This is not a substitute for treatment. Portal messages ARE NOT monitored or answered after-hours. Please call during normal business hours for appointments and medicine refills.

Immunizations
Our physicians strongly believe that all children receive their scheduled immunizations. Our immunizations are given according to the Centers for Disease Control and Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. Speak with one of our clinical staff or providers about recommended vaccinations for your child.

Autism
If you answered yes to this question, there is a screening tool we use called the Ages & Stages Questionnaire (ASQ). We use this tool to screen your child’s motor and language development based on their age. We also screen for autism and autism-related conditions around 18 to 24 months of age using the M-CHAT form.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Leigh provides care management for our more complex patients which includes asthma, ADD, ADHD, diabetes and obesity. She acts as a liaison between our patients and providers to coordinate care in an efficient manner to make sure all your child’s needs are met.
Depression
Mental Health
Depression Screening: We care about our patients’ mental health just as much as their physical health. If you are concerned about your child’s mood, ask your provider about our depression screening services.

Skin Care
Skin Care: Use plain water or mild baby soap. Do not give tub bath until the umbilical cord has completely fallen off. Babies do not need lotions, powders or oils, but if you use them, please stop if the baby’s skin appears irritated.
