Ben Franklin Academy

Good school and great staff. Kids loved school last year. One thing to note if you are planning on picking this school is that the uniform is very expensive. I am not sure if this is how they can help keep lower classes coming to the school or not. They state "Uniforms bridge the gap between economic classes" however the uniform cost only bridges the gap between those you can afford it and those who can afford it. They only let you pick from 1 place to buy from Educational Outfitters. Average 1 day outfit (1 skirt and top = 50-58 dollars) The school gets a kickback and I am not sure if you get to claim that towards your volunteer hours. We did buy used clothes last year but my daughter was sick of other kids pointing that out to her so this year we will pay if that keeps her from getting bullied or picked on from the kids. By the time we pay fees and for uniforms for 3 kids it will be over $1000 dollars.
