Stay AWAY from Horn construction! We hired them for a simple stair job in our house in October 2014. Had to rebuild the stairs of my basement entrance. First, didn't show for the first couple of appointments with different excuses. gave them a chance (or three!). That should have been my clue not to go forward but i figured everyone's busy, I'll give them a chance. Second, expected and required us to advise him on how to complete the construction project after he demolished a large part of the entrance. He had no idea what he was doing. Prolonged the work by about a week and a half, asked for more money because it took him longer. Came back one night at 10pm, dressed in professional clothes to "fix" the cement that they poured that was not evened out! Did a very sloppy job with anything they touched, needed to call them back numerous times during the project to correct numerous mistakes as sometimes they proceeded based on their own incapable intuition. Left the property messy, completely destroyed the lawn surrounding the job. Had different helpers/workers every day. Had the nerve to ask us to tip/give him money for/ the workers for every EXTRA thing, which they got wrong?!. Mind you, we had a written contract, predefined with what needed to be done. Finally finished the project and left me with an entrance that was reduced by about two feet. Every time you exit my basement, you have to bend down, crawl, or risk hitting your head and suffering a concussion between the first two steps. All due to his refusal to demolish the old stairs because it was going to cost him extra. Apparently had no idea that once you place limestone on top of the old stairs, that that would reduce the size of the entrance!?! Instead started "restoring" building on top of the old stairs as he was left unsupervised for half a day. Claimed the old stairs were still strong, basically didn't want to do the extra work which was also PREDEFINED in the contract. Workers urinated on site, so I'm left with a foul smell that I cannot get rid of. I will be taking them to court to recover for my damages. I think we need contractors to HELP us avoid these problems, not simply demolish and lay cement!! Do yourself a favor and DO NOT GO WITH THESE GUYS! They have been nothing but a nightmare. We treated the workers well everyday by buying them lunch, coffee and water. I have dealt with many people in the service industry, including contractors and this, by far has been the most UNPROFESSIONAL and SLOPPY contractor I've had to deal with. Doesn't return my calls to even come SEE the flaw, even thou they claim 2 yrs warranty on work. Another side note, this is my first NEGATIVE review, ever. DO NOT, DO NOT WORK WITH THEM!!

Horn construction was hired for my music school,

we needed a partition wall to make separate classrooms. They did a good job with aluminum frame and glass to make a beautiful partition wall.

Painted the walls wherever it was needed. finished my whole job on time. I am very much pleased with the quality of work they did and the also with the price. Their team is helpful and cooperative, they bent their schedule according to my schedule and availability. Will hire them whenever needed again. Good Luck Horn Construction!!
