        Central Electric Power Cooperative is an independent, locally-owned electric generation and transmission cooperative that delivers power to eight distribution cooperatives. Its eight distribution cooperatives serve a 22,000-square-mile area of central Missouri. Central Electric purchases its power from Associated Electric Cooperative, the nation s sixth-lowest cost bulk power supplier. It also operates its own 72-megawatt, coal-fired power plant. Central Electric meets a demand of nearly 700 megawatts and reports sales of more than 2.9 billion kilowatt hours each year. It is the primary electric supplier to more than 160,000 residential, commercial and industrial consumers. Central Electric maintains its headquarters in Jefferson City, Mo.

        This coop is totally bad news. They have no regard for land, wildlife, conservation, or plant life. They need to be regulated like other companies. No company should have the right to be so excessive in their practice that they basically take away land owner's rights.

        My small maple tree was cut down last month because of the 50 ft right away...but 5 trees across the street havent been touched and are closer that my tree...This is at 5000 Willowby jc mo..Just wondering why this is...Please give me some feed back...Anita Robinson at the above address...thanks
