Yes, absolutely! Routine dental cleanings should occur every 6 months. It is very important that patients receiving orthodontic treatment visit their dentist regularly. Regular visits with the orthodontist are not a substitute for General Dental checkups.

Dr. Joseph is a specialist in Orthodontics and has been proudly serving the four state area for the last 35 years. A home town boy, Dr. Joseph attended Columbia, North Jr. High, Joplin High (Memorial) and Missouri Southern. He then got his DDS degree from University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, and a Masters of Science in Dentistry (Orthodontics) from the St. Louis University Medical Center in 1987. Dr. Joseph has been a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the American Dental Association, and is past president of the local dental society.
Invisalign Orthodontics
During your initial visit, we will determine whether you are a good candidate for Invisalign. This treatment is often a good choice for adult patients and others who are interested in a virtually invisible orthodontic treatment. In addition to being discreet, Invisalign aligners are very comfortable because they are custom-made from smooth, thin plastic. We will start your appointment by taking photos and x-rays and then Dr. Richard Joseph will examine your teeth to determine if braces are needed. We will answer important questions about treatment, such as: 1) How much will it cost? 2) How long will the braces be worn? 3) Will it be necessary for any teeth to be removed or for any surgical procedures?
