I've been using this braiding service for YEARS. I'm always able to get an appointment when I want, and usually get my hair completed in a reasonable amount of time. The price is affordable as well. I would recommend.

I got my kinky twists done there about 8 weeks ago. I'm pleased to say I lost not 1 braid. In the past I have had my hair done and lost a few here, and there, but am impressed that they are still in. When I called to make an appointment I was able to get right in, and one of the braiders re-arrange a few things to accomodate an early morning appointment.

this place,is great. they are super fast. i've ad my kids hair done here several times. my kids micro's were finished in as little as 4- 4 1/2 hrs. most of the time they will have 2-3 ppl on your head at once. which is great for litle kids since they tend to get a little ancy having to sit still for a long period of time. for really small/young children, ask for Deloris. she is great with small children! This is definitely the place to go for quality braiding done fast. Hey Justin/Deloris!!!!!

My braids came out really cute! I went in for micros and I was started at 9:15 and done by 12:40! It was amazing. The ladies are funny and so talented. Great location to get your hair braided

I went there and was immediate...

I went there and was immediately greeted as I walked in the door. The young lady who assisted me was very polite and professional. As for getting my hair braided, they had me in and out in the time they specified on the phone. I'd definitely go back and recommend this place to my friends.

I used to be a fan

For years I have been coming here to get my hair done, and was generally satisfied. Lately it seems as if they have gotten money hungry. They schedule more clients than they have braiders. Clients are left waiting for hours to receive services. Not acceptable.

Actually we do not schedule more clients than we can attend. During the month of February, people are receiving their tax refund and all want their hair braided. So, even though we will tell them we don't want any more clients, they will still come and seat and hope they will be attended. They do so because they have nowhere else to go for their braids. February is not a good month to complaint about how long it took to be attended. We are not the one scheduling too many customers; it's them showing up against our will during that specific period... That’s the way it is, in any other braiding salon, during that period. We hope you contact us so we can explain this to you. You are more than well come back, to experience the difference. Thanks

Unprofessional is an understatement

I had my hair braided in Senegalese twists two weeks ago. Yes, two weeks ago and I've already lost about six braids in the back. This shop is very unprofessional. There are about two decent women working there. The one, who I presume is "in charge", is very nice. I believe I had a newcomer on the right side of my hair. I don't think she knew what she was doing and ironically, all of the braids I've lost have come out on the side where she braided. They gossip and talk non-stop for nearly 8 hours on end. One lady braiding my hair complained the entire time on the style that I wanted. Isn't the customer right? Aren't we allowed to get our hair done how WE want it? Unfortunately, I spent the last 22 months in the NYC area. I should have gotten my hair re-braided before I moved. I can already tell that my hair will not last as long as I used to wear it in NYC. I'm embarrassed to say that I was at work today and lost another braid. This is more like a braid factory. There is nothing personal about this shop and the energy is off in the shop as well. I just had a funny/weird feeling the entire time. I also notice that the women just come in the shop and start braiding. I didn't see anyone wash and sanitize their hands before they started braiding... oh well..go at your own risk. It's a lesson learned and money wasted for me.

I had my hair braided and after keeping it up for awhile as instructed. Well as I was taking it down I notice that I had large amounts of hair coming out as well. I immediatedly called this shop to explain what was happening. I spoke with the owner who then told me he would get back with me after he had spoken with his beauticians. This was on 12/13/10 by 12/17/10 I had called this shop repeatedly to no avail. This morning I called and happened to get the owner on the phone. So I ask him why he had not gotten back with me as he had stated would. He stated he could not understand why that happened. I then stated to him how terribly upset I was about my hair and the amount that has come out. I told him I had spoken to my beautician and she states I am going to need some type of medical treatments on my hair because of the amount that has come out. But she could start them as soon as possible. The owner who states his name is Justin laughs in my face and tells me this is neither his or his shops problem then he tells me maybe it's the way you took it down. I said no sir this was my second time having my hair done at his shop and I had the same exact hairstyle as I did the first time and it was taken down the same way it was taken down the first time. He states well I don't know what you want me to do so get you a lawyer do whatever you have to do I don't care. I said to him well obviously not. So I am just very disappointed at this gentlemens attitude and his not wanting to take any responsibility in the matter.

When you called, the first thing we suggested was that you meet with us so we could see what the problem was, which you refused. I then explain to you that it was very difficult for us to know what the problem was, without seeing it. Also your complain meant that your hair was braided tight, I did not say we don’t care, I was telling you that another customer will complaint for the opposite, that her hair was braided loosen. And if your hair was braided too tight, you couldn’t keep it for a month and realize it only after… In any case, you refused to meet with us, so we don’t even actually know if this is an actual client that was ever in our salon…We will appreciate if you can come and talk to us face to face about the situation .Thanks

i got my first microbraids with isha sisters when i was 18 back when they were at the bannister mall i came about 8 am finished 10 pm, to me they just gossip too much but their very friendly one asked if i would be okay getting home. but they were a little heavy handed so i offered to comb my own hair out. they braid your hair tight so the braids wont come out. alot of african women are rough or heavy handed. if you were braiding that many heads everyday youd be mean too. but it is very convenient they let you choose a color i chose black because most braiding salons charge you 180.00 without hair and those people are rip offs. but i like isha sisters you just have to know how to know how to talk to them. me personally im tenderheaded so i was squinting the whole time and they were cracking up. they just gossip like any other black female working in the salon. im going back soon.

I am new to the area & I needed my hair done. I read reviews for other braiders in a 30 mile radius & was FRIGHTENED by the patron's experiences. Isha you were 100% on point. This is a NICE place. It was clean & tidy. The braiders were mannerable & NOT rude. I had an appt for 9am & I was sitting in the chair at 9am. They do accept walk-ins, but those with appts are assisted 1st (which is just). My hairstyle is really nice & the price is comparable to others. A few guys were there getting their twists together as well. I will DEFINATELY go back when it's time.

I can understand and respect that people from other countries have different views of what is and is not acceptable in American society. It is my opinion if you come to this country to provide a service for the people of this county you should be trained in decency and professional mannerism. I went to this salon and I experienced some of the rudest treatment imaginable, I did not encounter one polite person in this entire establishment. I had 3 people start and then stop working on my head. I paid 170.00 to have my hair braided and the women there complained because I wanted to use a bulk curly, but my real hair was so long and thick they didn’t want to braid using the more difficult hair. They openly commented on how long and how thick my hair was one of the braiders came over did 2 braids and then walked away the woman that was still working on my hair said that she didn’t want to help her because my head was too big and I had too much hair! I was like well 170.00 I don’t see what the problem is!! I hated giving these kinds of people my money they have gotten so conferrable that they don’t even care to hide the fact that most Africans in this country have a deep dislike for Black Americans. I had to have someone go in and clean the restroom they had before I agreed to use it. The facility was filthy!!! The entire time they were braiding my hair I was expected to hold and separate the strands and if a strand was too thick or too small the braiders disapproval was openly and rudely expressed. I thought to myself “ I’m not trained to do this, what the he** am I paying you for”!! I wouldn’t give these people another red cent of my money! I am not into stereo types I will just speak for the workers that I encounters at this business DON’T GO THERE IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE A HUMAN BEING!!!

Dear Customer, we are always very disappointed to find that a customer we attended was not fully satisfied with us. I’m sorry that you did not enjoyed helping “passing the hair”, most customers have no problem doing that, we’ve learned from you; please just let us know that you are not interested. We hope you liked your braids and that you will have a better experience next time. Having said that, we are not into the business of comparing or confronting cultures, each culture has positive aspects and negative aspects. You might consider people as “coming from other countries”, but they might actually be “as American as you are”. I do not agree with you when you say “most Africans in this country have a deep dislike for Black Americans“. Both have a lot in common and as such should feel more like brothers and sisters, That’s how we feel. You are saying that you have very long and thick hair, that you used the “deep wavy” extension hair. These three factors (very long hair, thick hair, deep wavy extension) make it very difficult to braid you hair (it takes much more longer to braid, and it hurts the fingers…), to the point that if on average it takes us 5 hours to braid, it will take close to 8 hours to braid yours. So I believe that’s what they were bringing to your attention, and because you don’t pay as much extra, they might consider it unfair to them. I apologize if you did not like the way it was been brought to your attention. Again we appreciate your patronage and hope to talk to you soon about the issues raised in your comments. Thanks

Please go to them for your braids. They are wonderful. Thanks Cindy for doing my tree braids. They got me in the same day another braider (Ms Tish at Hair Candy) was a no show on me. They rock!!!!!

Worse hair braiding experience ever!

I wouldn't recommend this hair braiding place to my worse enemy! They are very unorganized, unprofessional, rude and incosiderate of others. They lie to get you to come to the shop. when you get there, no one speaks decent English, they can't tell you anything about the hair they used to braid or how long it will really take to complete the project. They braided my hair so tight it was pulled out from the roots! Then they have the nerve to ask you for half the money before they even really start the project. 2-3 people may be working on your hair at a time. They didn't have a working toliet in the shop and they will not wash or cut any hair. They aren't intelligant enough to understand any English language except for 'getting paid'. I am telling you, you don't want to waste your time or money on these scam artists.

Dear customer, thanks for your observations, we will learn from it and be more organized… However I believe you are wrong in lots of aspects: i) we have always have a working toilet, we proud ourselves in keeping it very clean. Let’s call any customers we attended the same day you came to verify that we had a working toilet. ii) we do speak English, even though that’s not what braiding is mostly about. I don’t personally know about you, but I will be surprised if there are not at least 4 people in our shop that are far more educated than you are iii) We don’t lie to get you to the shop; we might tell you that it will take about 5 hours to braid your hair, then in case of a customer walking-in or other reason it might take 6 hours. For you it will mean that we lie. But if we say it will take 5 hours and then it takes 4 hours because another customer did not show up, you will not tell us that we lied to you. About braiding your hair tight, please let us know that you want it less tight, we will make sure we fulfill your request. Some customers will like their tight, especially if their hair is short… other will like theirs less tight. Again, sorry that you were not satisfied, if there a way for you to come back to talk to us, we will appreciate, and will not miss that opportunity to change you into a very satisfied customer. After calling the day before my appt to schedule for the following day, I arrived and was asked if I had an appt. I stated that I did, told him it was with him at 10: that me scheduled me the day before. He looked around the shop and stated "well, we are full, you will just have to wait". I reminded him that I scheduled the appt with him the day before and I had driven an hour to get there so I was not happy about that. He then proceeded to tell me that if I was gong to argue with him that they just wouldnt do my hair. Now Im mad as Hell. After telling him what he could do with the appt, I walked out. He followed me out, asking if he could say something. I let him speak only to hear a bunch of lame excuses, none of which excused his attitude and behavior towards me. After I told him that he was unprofessional along with a few other thoughts I had, he offered to do the service for free if I could wait for a while. I said okay, but how long is a while and he stated he couldnt really say, so I declined. He called my cell phone, you know, the one he didnt call previously to say not to come or to come at a different time, he stated that he sees in the appt book that I had a 10:00 appt so I could come back whenever I was ready to get my hair done. I politely declined.



I will NEVER go back to this business.

Please I will like you to agree with me on the following fact: During the month of February, all the hair braiding shops in the city are overwhelmed, without exception. February is the tax return period and customers will come to the shop even when we tell them we cannot accommodate anymore. That's why we couldn't attend you right away, on time. I do respect that you did acknowledge the fact that I made all attempt, including to braid your hair for free, just because we did not attend you right away. In any case, we are disappointed that you were not satisfied with us. very nice salon and staft

A couple of days ago I went to get micro braids at Isha Sisters Brading salon. I was initially surprised by the cleanliness and modern furnishings of the salon. There are stations for each braider and comfortable chairs for clients. I recommend bringing a book if your style is going to take a bit. I have 4b type very thick natural hair and my braider was finished in only 6 1/2 hours. The salon is air conditioned and there is a clean restroom in the rear. If you don't want to purchase your own hair, you may buy it from the salon. They have a large selection of hair for all styles.

I love this place

I love this place. Its the best place to get your hair braided. This is my second time going. They are fast and they even provide the hair which is included in the price. I would recommend this place to anyone that would like there hair braided.....
