Nicky's Pizza

The meat lovers pizza rocks. And you won't be disappointed in the house salad; the creamy garlic dressing is awesome. Love that the restaurant does Tuesday night discounts for school district employees, too.

In the 30 days this place has been open, we've had the pleasure of dining in once and taking home once. Both times, pizza is FANTASTIC! As a former New Yorker, I have to say that Pizza is an important food group (yes, food group), and there are VERY FEW places in the Kansas City area that can make a pizza worth anything!



Nicky's can make a damn good pizza. Now, it is not New York, I'd have go to NY for it, but since that can get a bit pricey, Nicky's works perfectly!



The crust is not a thick-chewy crust, but no so thin I feel like I'm eating a pizza cracker. I like the crust a bit crispier so I ask for them to make it crispy. The first time we dined in, my daughter and I had the cheese bread (yum) and each ordered what we thought was personal pizzas ... we could have shared one small one. No biggie.



The second time we ordered a pizza to take home as my husband hadn't been able to part-take yet -- he was very impressed. We only ordered a pizza before leaving on vacation and we enjoyed every single bite.



Tonight we are having pizza and salads delivered -- 90 degrees on April 1, well, it's just too hot to cook! Thank goodness for Nicky's!!

Absolutely delicious! Not just your standard pizza. A real dining treat!

This is definitely worth a try. I'm not sure if the first review has an ax to grind or what, because our pizza was hot, and the roast beef sandwich and side salad were delicious. I feel you should dine in the first time you try a new pie. Anytime you carry out in 40 degree weather, I'm no physicist, but I'm sure it will cool off the pizza.

Anyway, hopefully they get beer soon, because it seems like a good atmosphere to watch a game. We're actually going for lunch over the weekend to try out some more sandwiches.

We were there on Monday, their first day of opening and there were 5 of us. We ordered appetizers, meatball sandwich, Italian Sausage Sandwich, Roast Beef Sandwich and Pizza. I will say it was one of the BEST Meat Ball Sandwich and Roast Beef sandwich I have ever eaten. Also, Italian Sausage was GREAT! The pizza was AWESOME! Salad was also great. We had side salad instead of chips. We will go back! Excited to have a place in the northland where we can go and get Great Pizza and sandwiches that are home made! Meatballs out of this world and the Sauce on the Roast Beef Sandwich was AWESOME! Were going back Friday Night!

Not worth the money. I had hope for this place because the menu said they use a good italian sausage. We order an 18' with sausage,onion, and Mushrooms of half and meatballs on the other half. When went to pick it up they had our pizza just sitting on the counter, not in a warmer. Then two different people had to open the box 3 times to see if it was the right one. (cold pizza). This pizza had very little toppings on it. Never even tasted the sausage and the meatball side had maybe five or six pieces of a meatball one slice did not even have a meatball on it. I could not tell what the sauce tastes like, because there was not enough sauce to even count it. The crust was okay, but a had a frozen taste to it. Not sure what the taste was. Don't make the trip. There is better pizza in the northland.
