Welcome, Artists! Regency Beauty Institute has put a fresh face on cosmetology. It's called the Studio Luma program and it's only available at Regency. It's beauty school designed by artists, for artists. Like you! Here, there aren't any big, boring textbooks. Or long lectures. Artists are too visual and full of ideas for that. At Regency, you learn with videos. Animations. Open-book tests. All on an iPad. You'll watch how to perform services, practice on your model and get one-on-one time with your teacher whenever you need it. You'll see inside the salon world and learn what it takes to succeed. You'll watch all sorts of salon situations - like how to get along with other stylists, manage indecisive guests, deal with two appointments at once and even calm agitated brides. Plus hair, skin, nail and makeup skills in action. It's not just students who love our Studio Luma program. Salons do, too. Heather Degele, regional manager of Kay Casperson Lifestyle Spas & Boutiques, says, "It allows students to graduate knowing that whatever happens they have the confidence and skill to succeed." And Sara McConnell, manager of Visible Changes salon, says, "I think the Regency Studio Luma students are better prepared for working in a real salon." Come join our welcoming community of artists! Live in the United States? Regency Beauty Institute cosmetology schools are conveniently located across the country. There could be one near you! Our full-time cosmetology program is designed to be completed in 12 months. Some campuses offer part-time programs.

Worst school

Regency beauty institute independence is the worst school, they claim to be high end but it's just as ghetto as others with chairs and shampoo bowls that are always broken. I'm paying 20k for an education that doesn't teach me anything. I get the studio Luma stuff is new but that doesn't mean we don't get to learn as much as the old system, I looked at the old workbook and I couldn't answer the majority of the questions because we are not taught. The teachers and clients that come in treat the 4 white people here like crap compared to the black people and that we don't know how to do hair. I am stuck here for 6 more months (this program is 12 months instead of 10 like the others) because I don't have 10 thousand dollars to transfer my hours to a different school.

This place is a rip-off, DONT ENROLL! The cost was around 20k for the school, when I enrolled in 2010. I signed a bunch of papers in the beginning that I did not read very carefully. Now, I'm paying for that mistake. After 60 days of school, I decided it was not for me and decided to drop out. The teachers were thieves and charged the students to do demos for teaching purposes. Anyways.. I knew I would owe them some money but I didn't know just how much. When I asked, they said they didn't know until they turned in my cancellation what I would owe. Several months down the road, I was hit with a $9,000 bill. They charged me 45% of the full tuition. I WAS CHARGED $9,000 FOR 60 days!!! When I was signing, I didn't realize this, my 20k was broken into 3 different loans. 2 were federal loans (pell grants) and the other through the school. The past 2 years, the government took my tax returns to pay off the federal loans. I also have a $1,800 bill through the school, that is on my credit through William and Fudge. THIS IS UNFAIR! They should be put out of business. Don't go to this school, you will regret it!

I took my disabled mother into Regency for a makeover for her 60th birthday. The staff treated her soooo well and the students gave her a style that made her look like million bucks! ?Thank you Regency!
