TLC Dental Care

Don't think you can't find a good dentist by just searching the Yellow Pages. I did today and I want to share my story with you. I had suffered off and on for the better part of 6 months with a molar that needed to be extracted. Having had a lifelong aversion to dentists, I put it off as long as I could. However, when I awoke today I knew it was time to do something about it. My husband said,"Just get out the phonebook and find someone." I looked through the Yellow Pages and found a dentist close to our home. From the moment they answered the phone I knew I had found "the one". The receptionist was so kind and polite as she took my information. Her immediate concern to my situation was heartwarming. It was 12:30pm as we spoke and she asked if I could be at the office at or before 1:00pm. I was thrilled! I surely didn't expect that I could get in anywhere this fast. But I was at the office before 1:00pm. From the moment I walked in the door the surroundings were warm and welcoming. The receptionist called me by name and said they would be right with me. I wasn't sitting in the reception area for 5 minutes when they came out to greet me. The dental assistant was so kind and understanding. She asked which tooth and gently took my x-rays. Then Dr. Rethmeyer came in and introduced herself with one of the most beautiful smiles I've ever seen. I explained that I have several auto-immune problems and one being Shogren's Syndrome. This is a condition where one has limited moisture in the body. And one of the problems is a severe lack of saliva. So the upshot of this is it causes tooth decay. After varifying my medical information and list of medications, she completely deadened the area. The assistants were wonderful! So kind - so patient and so understanding. If it's possible to have a great experience getting a tooth pulled - I'm telling you it was! Not only that , Dr. Rethmeyer explained that there are procedures that she can assist me with to be able to treat my condition, but also I could keep my teeth. I was in and out of the office in 2 hours. I highly recommend Dr. Rethmeyer and her staff to anyone. If you are anything like me you will appreciate their professionalism and expertise. Not to mention the delightful atmosphere.

These people have saved us a ton of money! Dr Karen and Lori (the tooth cleaning lady) have taught us how to keep my 2 kids "cavity free". We do all the stuff that they taught us, and after 15 years with them, my kids still have never needed a filling. Thanks dr. karen!
