Fish Shack and Critters

A great local pet shop with great selection and great staff. If they don't have what you want, they'll order, just ask! They are happy to give you exceptional advice. Also, they take in abandoned pets and either find a home for them or keep them as store pets. While they don't have it right now at their new location, they run an education zoo program for the community and even go to schools to education children about animals. It's really neat!

The staff is helpful and nice, the owner is informative on how to properly care for fish, overall this place great to get fish or other pets

When I visited the Fish Shack and Critters I was impressed with the variety of pets they had. They also had lots of pet supplies and dog grooming. I will definitely go back whenever I need anything for my pets.

This is practically a whole new store with awesome cages and real zoo quality exhibits. I highly recommend visiting. If you have go in before it is worth another look!

The place is limited on it's pet supplies. It should just stick to one species to market and leave the others alone. The mixture between all of the animals kept there makes it hard to keep up with, hence the bad smell. Yuck!

I purchased sick fish from The Fish Shack and Critters in Leavenworth, KS that killed off my ENTIRE tank within days with the fungus they carried. I called the owner and he refused to accept that his fish could have been sick, and it must have been the fish I already had (which were ALSO purchased from him that I had in that tank from 1/2 year to 3 months before adding these new fish). He was rude and ignorant and refused to listen to a word I said, and backtracked on everything he said ESPECIALLY when I told him all my fish were from him (then he was out of excuses!). I have been a loyal customer since they opened, and this is how I was treated. I will never go back. STAY AWAY from this place!
