This place really paid off! I have a very elderly diabetic pug. The staff was so understanding. Went over every detail. (I felt a little bad he takes so much care). They never did anything but love on him when he came in and took great care for the three days I left him there. Came home looking and acting good. It was hard to leave him, but I was in touch with them daily and felt really good about it.

A neighbor told me about this place so we tried it over Labor day. They were professional and nice just like I expected. Dogs came back great and they were available to us on Labor day when we wanted them. That seems rare. Good experience all around.

I live in a pet friendly apartment. Got free day care days when I moved in and a discount for my daily rate. My dog loves it when I ask him if he is ready to "go to school". Friendly people and a really good feeling when you walk in. My dog loves it. Glad I moved where I did.

My Freddy has been to many day cares. This is the first place he gets excited about. One time he got off his leash and ran to the door to get in. Great people. Love the 24/7 care.

Wish we had found this place sooner. Can't believe how great they are with my dog. Always a pleasant smile when we come in.

My little min pin and I were treated so well here. Great young people and a really nice facility. My dog gets excited when we turn the corner to head in to the parking lot.

KC Fox4 news - Working For You just did a story on Kennel Creek on mon, Feb 29, 2016.. 5-6 former employees came forward with stories of abuse and neglect. They had photos of kennels in an area they don't show on their tour. I thought it was wierd that they didn't take me farther than looking through a mirror. Now I know they were hiding filthy kennels and floors. I was taking my two dogs half day 3 days a week for daycare. They showed no signs of stress but am so glad I saw this piece before leaving them for an extended period.

Do NOT go here for anything unless u think u are the upper eschalon elite clientele with a snotty johnson county attitude. If u like rudeness and condescending than this place is for u. Liberty their office manager (or whatever she tries to pass herself off as) is so rude and has the personaility of sandpaper. Their expensive prices foot the bill for the owner to live around the corner in mission farms and pay for him to drive a dog shuttle. WHICH IS A MERCEDES! After almost 5 years the building still has the decor from the old Appleees corporate headquarters that was previously there. If u like untruths lies bait and switch and smoke and mirrors u will b delighted.

WILL NOT GO BACK FOR GROOMING. I took my dog there to get bathed, cut and a shed treatment. When I went to pick her up (as I told them I needed her no later than 1:00 as I was leaving for out of town), she wasn't ready. I stayed there and waited and didn't get her until 2:08!!!! Although her haircut was good, she didn't smell as though she had been groomed and is now shedding WORSE than before her shed treatment. I fermintated her at home and was shocked by all the fur that was still coming off her! I have never had this happen before when I take her to Summit Pet Care (which I LOVE). Bottom line....I WILL NOT GO BACK FOR ANY REASON!!!

I was excited to find this place for our dog, but unfortunately I should've listened to other reviews. The dogs are whisked off upon arrival and no opportunity to say goodbye or even give info about your dog. I got a very uneasy feeling about what would go on behind closed doors. I should've walked out then. We viewed the cam anytime we could. During our dogs 5 day care we never saw any interaction with care attendants toward dogs. There were also so many dogs, that I don't see how thy possibly truly got exercised. They were quick to clean up any messes dogs would leave though. When we picked our dog up, no one could even tell us how he did. We asked 3 different people and they said they think fine because they didn't THINK they ever had to remove him from play group. I wondered if he ever received any care outside of that play time. When he got home he was starving too! Within a day of being home he woke up with conjunctivitis in one of his eyes! He has never had any eye problems, nor do our other two dogs--who had stayed with grandparents thank goodness. Now we have an extra vet bill and still have not got our boy back to the way he was prior to being left in their care.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! It's practically nicer than hotels that I stay at. I was so happy to walk through the doors and finally find a place to leave my dog that was NICE! I've had dogs all my life and have never found a better place to board. The staff is friendly and competent and the kennel area is clean and spacious. AND - I can get the dogs groomed and trained here too! Its great. I was sold on the place as soon as I walked in.

If you are considering boarding/daycare for your dog or cat at Kennel Creek Pet Resort in Overland Park, BUYER BEWARE!! They are rude, completely ignorant to breeds (a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and Pit Bull Terrier are TWO DIFFERENT BREEDS!) they discriminate against certain breeds, and make up policies while you're on the phone (AND NONE OF THEM ARE LISTED ON THEIR WEBSITE!)

No place like it. They understand dog's needs better than any place I have been. Very professional and service oriented. Great experience. I had special needs for my little guy and they took care of everything for him. Love it that I can watch playtime from my office.

This place is not what it seems, I came and took a tour of this facility and it is beautiful. How ever it feels like he spent more time on the building then caring for the dogs. I have boarded at kennel Creek twice now and my dogs come home sick and different. When I board at other places in the area this never happens. when you pick your dog up the owner tells you one thing and the kennel tells you another I do not like being told that my dog did great and then turn around and be told the truth. The owner does not seem to care about any dogs but his own. I was so excited for this place but now I hope people realize that it is not a healthy environment. The owner is very obnoxious and impersonal it would be nice to walk in a place and have them know you and your pet (which the front desk person is great at) but the owner guesses and its rather annoying. I wish I could of wrote a good review but I care about my Dogs health and well being rather then the suite he is staying in and what the lobby looks like.

I was so disappointed with the service i recieved at kennel creek, I had my dogs stay over the Christmas holiday. i though as advertised this would be a healthy enviroment for my dogs. However they both retured ill. diarrhea and vomiting, ive had mess after mess to clean up at home. and for the amount of $$ i spent i would think this would not happen! I WILL NOT BE RETURNING! i plan to let all my friends know as well NOT TO USE kennel creek!

Finally a place in Johnson County that goes to the trouble to take care of pets properly. My dogs can't wait to get in there and play. Cleanest most professional place I have ever been to.

I love how tired my dog was when he came home. I ask the owner and he was perfectly happy to put my dog in an extra playtime since he gets along with everyone so well. It is nice to see some place where they are professional with their pet owners as well as the pets.

i agree now with the first review! i read this and gave the bennifit of doubt, thought it was just an angry person. however after a few times at Kennel Creek i see that this is all more than likely true. i have no idea about the comments on the break issues. but as far as the daycare.. i do agree. the guy that owns this is rude and full of himself. he always seems to have an attidue.just by talking to him you get this holier than thou impression. i noticed that my dog come home with almost more energy than when i dropped him off. i guess for $18 he gets a whole 2 hours total a day. all the other daycares around around the same price for ALL DAY PLAY! then i get some line of crap about it being healthier for the pet to not have to much exercise...... so why do i come to daycare and pay for it again? why not go to the dog park for FREE and have my dog come home TIRED!? ive been to other daycares around town some nice places and some not so nice. ive never felt the need to write a review before now. i think people should be aware of what they are paying for. i went a few times and still get the same results everytime. i think they spent more $ on their fancy office and fancy mercedes vans then the training on how to care for pets. i think they should stop and think about what the word daycare means. if im expected to pay for a service id expect to get the serive! i get the feeling walking in that im going into a corporate office on wall street. its a cold feeling all plain and dull uniforms the girls up front are always nice but seem to be on edge if the owner is standing around. you can feel the tention in the room when he is at the front desk. not a comfortable enviroment to want to leave my buddy in. i think they should worry more about the care and services they are offering people insted of what kind of cappuccino or latte they will be seriving that day. im not sure about the rest of you but my dog isnt just my dog HE IS FAMILY and i like them to be treated like family not like a $ sign. please beware if you go to Kennel Creek, be prepared to have time to go for a run when you pick up or to the dog park. i guess they got the wrong memo, mine read that a tired dog is a happy dog.
