Preventive Care

Vaccination
For frequent members of our daycare program, we can provide once a week billing. For the safety of your dog and all dogs attending our daycare, we do require current vaccinations and a negative fecal exam for intestinal parasites.

Parasites Treatment and Control
Heartworm disease is transmitted by mosquitoes. So even if your pet only spends a few moments outside daily it will most likely still come in contact with mosquitoes. Heartworm disease can be very damaging to your pet therefore we recommend a monthly prevention. At our clinic we carry numerous different products and would be happy to find the perfect match for you dog or cat.

During grooming, all dogs and cats receive a hydrosurge bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, anal gland expression, blow drying, brushing, and haircut. We top off each pet with a decorative bow for the season. If you have any medical concerns regarding your pet, please see a veterinary technician before your pet is admitted for grooming. If requested, one of our veterinarians can examine your pet while it is in grooming and then contact you with their findings. When picking up your pet, go to the main entrance of the Veterinary Center of Liberty and pick up at the reception area.

The Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians at the Veterinary Center of Liberty have a primary mission of providing your pet with the best medical and surgical care possible.
Spaying and Neutering

Laboratory Services
We recommend your kitten begin vaccinations between 6 and 8 weeks of age. At the first set of vaccinations we recommend a Feline Leukemia/Feline Immunodeficiency Virus blood test. A series of vaccination every 3-4 weeks until at least 16 weeks of age is needed to provide adequate immunity. At the time of your kitten’s vaccinations we also recommend checking a fecal sample for intestinal parasites and routine dewormings.

General Pet Care

Boarding
Dog Boarding Our dog boarding facility is maintained by a team of individuals whose top priority is to provide your dog with a clean, stress-free, and comfortable place to stay when apart from your family and away from home. We walk every dog on a leash, three times a day, in our grassy exercise area: this provides fresh air and a chance to go to the bathroom. We feed Hill’s Science Diet Canine Maintenance dry dog food each morning and evening. We provide canned food also if a dog isn’t eating appropriately. For a small additional fee, we are happy to provide your dog with any special diet or medication that you leave with us. We do recommend reservations for our boarding facility, especially around holidays and vacation times – space fills up quickly.
Grooming
Senior Pet Care
There are numerous types of pet foods available for your pet. We offer a full line of Science Diet products and Royal Canin Products. We recommend pet foods based on your pets unique situation. Young animals need a much different type of food compared to a senior pet. There may be a time in your pet’s life when they need prescription pet food. We are here to offer advice and guide you in the correct direction.
