This is the worst place I have seen in years. If you are on oxygen forget getting a shower. They will use the excuse that they do not have enough oxygen for you. If you have coughing spells or need a little extra attention forget it. they will perscribe an anxiety pill that makes you out of it and sleepy. Even when the primary physician and family requests it to be stopped if the nurse feels the patient needs it they give it to the patient anyway. Staff eating in hallways before entering the patients home, sorting med packets on the floor. I have been in the business a long time and plan on reporting them to state. Take your loved one somewhere else. Our family member was suppose to get better with the rehab and instead is worse than when we first put our family member in the facility.

The reviews below from 2008 where from the previous management Company (SAVA) that was managing the building during that time. Clear Choice Healthcare assumed management of Orchard Park on October 12, 2009.

Bad management

have inexperienced nurse managers come from matchbox schools. In my opinion nursing management at this facility has no clue and are not qualified to run this place.

Needs more experienced management

This place is being run by nurses who are matchbox school graduates. No experience at all. Would you trust them to take care of your loved ones? they could improve themselves by getting nurse managers that have a lot more experience than one to two years.

Great place to put someone that you hate.

Medicine is dispensed once per day. If a patient needs medicine at a different time or more often, too bad. Contrary to what the prescribing hospital said, they will not cater to renal diet patients or anyone with a specific dietary need. Sure, patients are "given a choice" of meals. But they're also fed sandwiches sometimes twice a day. Bacon or sausage for Sunday breakfast? Perhaps. But it must have gone to the staff because the patients sure didn't get any. Don't recall ever seeing any decent protein being served. Don't bother asking the (alleged) dietitian for help. Her main function is to collect a paycheck. Physical therapy is almost non-existent. While patients were either sitting or lying down, most of the "therapists" rushed here and there in what appeared to be an attempt to look busy. If I sound angry, it's because I am. Thank goodness family was close enough to observe the conditions. We took him out of there before any harm could come to him. BAD NEWS!!!!!!

Notably good service experience: Nursing/Dietary/Therapy... these guys are the best!!

It's about time people start reporting some of the good things and not just their complaints. The entire staff here is excellent! These people are professional and top notch. From Admissions to activities, nursing, therapy, case management and social services. The dietician here is top notch, and cute as a button too! They are all very caring professionals. It's an older building but remains clean and well maintained. If we find our family in need of this type of service in the future, we will certainly request a return to this place!!

There is nothing I liked about it.

The care the residents receive there is frightening. Not be given medicine as ordered, skipping doses, not assisting patients who need help, not following prescribed diets and giving patients on low salt diets, foods that are heavily salted such as ham.
