About Creative Cakery Patty Newkirk and her daughters, Laurie & Nancy, founded their retail "cakery" in 1983. After years of perfecting their recipes and selling their creations out of their home, they knew the time was right to open a store. They chose bundt-shaped pans for their cakes because of the unique decorating opportunities. The unusual fluted cake shape offers interesting decorative possibilities when frosted and decorated with ribbons, toys, and miniature props to signify various special events. Whether it is a birthday celebration, a corporate event, or "just because, " a Creative Cakery cake is the perfect gift idea because it combines a quality bakery product with a personalized gift service.
