Friendly, Honest and Knowledgeable Service!

I have done business with Stashu's for the past 13 years. I have always been delighted with the work and attention to detail. Recently, I had to take my car to the dealership due to a recall. When I picked it up they told me I needed front and rear breaks. I made an appointment at Stashu's to have the work done. I got a call from Stashu's at 8:50am telling me that my front breaks were in fine shape and did not need to be replaced! Wow it great to know that you are doing business with such honest and helpful folks.

Stashu's, thanks for keeping my cars running great!

To the customer that gave us a negative review April 2010: Your husbands BMW was towed into our shop, (in business for 21 years) and wouldn't start. Therefore we couldn't know what lights were on, such as the Service Indicator Light and Run Flat Tire Malfunction Light in addition to the Air Bag Light that were on after we replaced the starter with a Bosch unit which is OEM, not the aftermarket starter your husband wanted us to install. The starter is located in the engine compartment and does not have anything to do with the air bag system, steering column or the ignition lock cylinder located inside the car. We take Pride in the Quality of work we perform. I am sorry that you are un-happy with the service your husband asked of us.

Had my 05 Porsche Cayenne serviced by another shop, but then had problems with the engine running rough, which they assured me was normal for Porsche and Audi. Stashu's diagnosed and repaired the problem immediately. Turns out the other shop had broken an air hose and taped it with electrical tape which didn't seal properly. Over the years I've had many Mercedes and Porsche vehicles. I wish I had known about Stashu's a long time ago. These guys are the best - honest, fast, and absolute experts. Highly recommended!!!

If you are looking for friendly, honest people this is the place to go. I took my BMW to them for evaluation before purchasing to insure there were no issues that would compromise the integrity of the vehicle. They were very thorough and pointed out issues I was not aware of which enabled me to negotiate a better purchase price. Stashu's was recommended to me by a friend who has been going there for years. I don't believe that they would be in business for 20+ years if they weren't reliable. I will be back, in fact the BMW I purchased based on their recommendation already has an appointment.

I don't buy the review from the BMW-owner alleging dishonesty. I found Stan both scrupulous and honest.

He will use Mahle, Bosch, etc. parts if they are the OEM for the BMW part, but you will get the benefit of that in lower prices. If you want genuine BMW label, he can order it from a local dealer and you'll pay the same list price as they would charge. Unfortunately, he's relying on the industry parts suppliers to say what's OEM, and has more experience with Porsche, Volkswagen, and Audi. If your starter looked like the old one, had the same mounting holes, etc. -- and especially if it worked! -- then chances are that it was OK.

Obviously, the dealership is going to denigrate any repairs they didn't do, regardless of quality. Especially if you're talking about Fields BMW, in my experience *they* really *are* unscrupulous and (sometimes) dishonest.

Don't do it!!!

I made a huge mistake allowing this company to service my BMW. They simply had to replace the starter but left me with the airbag deployed light on, scratches around the ignition, and an ignition that needed major weight training to turn. When I spoke to the owner about it he rudely stated, "well, sweetie, we don't know that this wasn't like this before you got here". Are you kidding me???

Ended up taking my vehicle back to the dealer where they had a jolly time laughing at the "genuine oem parts" and the way the steering column was put together. They got a really good chuckle when I told them how the owner tried to say that the tripped airbag light could not have been his fault...

On your journey to finding a decent mechanic....bypass this one!!!
