Duffys Sports Grill

I brought my friends there Monday night ,they have a duffy s in Wellington ,we had great food and drinks ,but the one in Melbourne was a disappointment because we had the two for drinks ,the three of us had a,tab over 100.00 with a twenty dollar tip ,but the drinks had hardly no alcohol or none ,very disappointing,I also bought a gift certificate. Meant to tell the manger but there was a problem with our bill ,their error ,and we forgot to tell him ,too bad !

Sure don't agree with the other review. We're retired and live in Port St. John and we try go to Duffy's a couple times a week. Family members and friends who live in the Melbourne area go there often also. The food is great, the staff is friendly and efficient and all the prices (including alcohol) are comparable with other establishments. We have tried almost everything on the menu from appetizers to desserts!! They have specials on food and drink items every day and if you sign up (FREE) for their "MVP" card you get 40% off ALL food and beverages during certain hours and even get points for every dollar you spend!!! On top of that they give you $10 credit for every 100 points you accumulate which you can use toward your food or drinks - HOW GOOD IS THAT!!! We love Duffy's and will continue to patronize it.

I've been in this restaurant 3 times since they opened and its been a complete waste of money every time! The food is over-priced and was served cold,greasy,under-portioned,and slow.The dishes,glasses,silverware,and table were filthy and this is because the bussers and servers are incompetant and slow and seem to want to get paid for standing around and talking on cell-phones and watching the t.v.'s instead of servicing paying customers.The booths and floors inside are always fithy,(nobody knows how to sweep a floor?),and the outside tables and patio are littered with garbage and cigarette butts.There is also a serious problem with profanity coming from the kitchen loud enough to hear in the dining room which makes me wonder how this place is "family oriented"?The drink prices are way too expensive for the swill they serve and trying to patronize a customer is no excuse for lousey bartending.The mixed drinks were watered-down and the beer glasses smelled like bleach and when I asked for a different glass the second one had food stuck on the bottom of it,(cant this place hire a dishwasher thats knows how to do the job right?)!This place is fast becoming another T.G.I.F. copycat and I dont see a very good future for it and will end up as another dive that pushes alcohol sales instead of food.I would recommend for the adults to find another place to eat and for the kids,try a movie and a fast food place instead!
