Andres Krauthamer, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Krauthamer joined the University of Miami Interventional Radiology Department in January 2019. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Miami, he worked as an attending Interventional Radiologist at New York Radiology Associates of Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Krauthamer earned his medical degree from Rutgers University Medical School in Newark, New Jersey. After graduating in 2009, he completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Morristown Medical Center in New Jersey. He went on to complete his Radiology residency at The George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC where he distinguished himself as chief resident. He subsequently completed a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore Maryland in June of 2015. Dr. Krauthamer is certified by the American Board of Radiology in diagnostic radiology and holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. Dr. Krauthamer has various scientific presentations, journal publications and has contributed to Image Guided Interventions: Expert Radiology Series. Particular areas of clinical interest include: Interventional Oncology, venous thromboembolic disease, uterine fibroids, and pelvic congestion syndrome.
